I've had some luck with parody movies.
Sex Files: A Dark XXX Parody honestly feels like an x-files episode with hardcore scenes. I was very impressed. I also enjoyed Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody.

You'd think there'd be interest in making actual adult movies - a movie with hardcore scenes where appropriate. The tools to make films are so much more common today...and some of the people in the industry are actually capable of really acting. It should be like the 1970s all over again...but it isn't.

Well, I'm only 28 years old and I've always preferred movies from 80-es and early 90-es no matter was there plot or not. It's because of that time though I was a child in those days but the first porn-movie I saw was nameless low-quality (at that time I didn't think so!) VHS, I suppose it was German... I do not remember the plot but I remember certainly it was there. Talking honestly, I would not see modern porn-movie with any plot. Because it is another film, another quality, another atmosphere, another music... In nowadays masterpieces like Caligula are not demanded by audience. They want primitive, rude copulation without any sense, music, taste or aesthetic.

I disagree. The majority of people into porn are just like us on this board. Porn is still very taboo in the US though and pornographers guess on what their audience wants. If they guess wrong on a gonzo flick that they spent $10,000 to make who cares. There was little or no advertising and the day shoot plus editing cost 10 grand. Flynt wipes his ass with more money than that. If people especially the curiosity or should I say oddity seekers would quit buying the crap that is being put out the industry would notice and self-correct. I buy very little modern porn due to the fact almost every single modern film includes A2M which I find intolerable.

Where I live porn is taboo too but our porn industry just copies US-industry without any local features (and it is very crappy copy). I am not informed about how much they spend money to make their third-rate slag. Mr Stockings has already wrote that budget does not define the art quality of a movie. So the question is still not clear for me - what happened with talented people? I guess I should explain my taste - I prefer "historical" porn, just like Italian, French and German classic movies. Those ones were really art porn in my opinion. Unfortunately I did not saw Pirates but I think it is not the same thing as L'Initiation d'une Jeune Marquise.

I supposed I'm thinking of the creativity of something like 'The Blair Witch project' where with a low budget but a lot of creativity you can do something new. It's just that given the amount of porn being produced how little individual creativity there is. To be honest, you see more of that in compilations of real amateur material.

I like this comparison of "Blair Witch" and interesting porn. Explicating this example of Blair Witch fenomen we could conclude that official porn-making studio and specialized sites are unable to offer anything worth to people who seek for a bit of art in the modern porn. But amateur enthusiasts not go beyond short scenes even these pieces could be really awesome. To continue comparison with BWP - it is like if those guys shot only five minutes of Blair Witch.

I've done a very small number of amateur shoots, and we always tried to at least get some story line in there before the screwing, and I always enjoyed the seduction and undressing part - it's such a shame that in for most porn in one scene the model is dressed, and then in the next cut she's undressed and sucking a cock.
