Why so few directly from behind ass shots?

This is something I notice primarily in the bunny mag, where most shots from behind have the woman either turned at an angle, partially bent over or with a knee cocked (no pun intended) so that one butt cheek is higher than the other. For example, with all of Karen McDougal's dozens of photos, there is exactly ONE where it is taken directly from behind (the one where she's in the snow on the dog sled).


I don't know about you guys, but the directly from behind, legs slightly parted and standing flat footed, tall and straight is my favorite view, so I find this frustrating.


Anyone know why this is? Thanks!

Kidding aside, I thought I read once that models don't like ass shots as they want at least a partial face included so they can be identified.

I can see that. You've got to wonder about the self-esteem of women who are prepared to be nothing but a vagina or an anus. Or maybe it's just a love of the folding stuff.

Maybe they are concerned their bum is going to look too big ??

Surely if they want their face in shot could use a mirror at the front but with the focus at the back

I prefer a not-quite-full-on ass shot with the model smiling invitingly back at me (the camera). The preferences of others may differ.

And let's face it, some women are weak in the ass and the mons from that point of view compared to their other assets.

I don't think I have ever seen Katie Fey in a full on ass shot, for example, and I have seen plenty of pictures of her. She's got kind of a bony ass, compared to her gorgeous face and tits, and maybe she prefers not to be photographed that way very often, if at all.

If anyone has an ass shot of Katie, post it, and I'll stand corrected.

Nobody wanted those types of shots and werent paying for them back then
is the obvious answer

Photographers who run their own sites might be more self indulgent now
but again if pics are getting little activity their days are numbered.

They may well have shot them but like a few independent photographers have said
80% of what i shot never got published because it had no commercial value


Models like Gail Mckenna - very few ass shots
because they were only interested in her front
