If I remember correctly the Doctor doesn't actually kill any Daleks, he/she lets them die of their own doing and always gives them an opportunity to leave before it's too late.

The Daleks also attacked Gallifrey so the Timelords were defending themselves.

Thanks to the events of "The Day of the Doctor", the planet Gallifrey was "frozen" in a single instant in time, inside a pocket reality and disappearing from view.
At the moment of Gallifrey's disappearance, the surrounding Dalek warships attacking the planet destroyed themselves in the crossfire, and to all and sundry watching the event, it would appear that both warring parties had destroyed each other....

Not bad when you have thirteen Doctors working in tandem....

Not in the series, no. But in the big 'time war' thing the timelords more or less wiped out the daleks in a big battle by killing them.

I saw the Rosa Parks episode.

While mostly it seemed decent enough, I have no idea why a Brit from the distant future would go back in time to stop Rosa Parks refusing to move, when (as far as I know) what Rosa Parks did, had no direct effect on Britain or its laws. I presume it may have inspired some black people here, but that ain't the same, unless the whole point of that was to say "There'll always be racism if there are whites people about." Why would they not have had a yank from the distant future come back in time?

I thought the bit at the end which was practically a eulogy of Rosa Parks was overdone and unnecessary. I mean "She changed the world"? Really?

I can't remember that far back, but didn't he/they consider the War-Doctor version of him self/their selves a necessary evil to preserve a greater good?

I like the new doctor, but if it gets any more politically correct, we're going to be getting transgender daleks, needing a safe place

That character was too open-ended for it to be a one off appearance. He was another time traveler with a shady backstory and he knew what the TARDIS was. Also, he wasn't killed - just sent somewhere else in time before we could find out much about him. Plus he said he had previous for some particularly heinous crimes. I'm guessing we will see him again.

Anyone want to back my guess that he's the new Master?

The arrest of Rosa Parks in 1955 for her refusal to give up her seat to a white passenger was a pivotal event, but I digress...

The moment the BBC announced the "Rosa" episode, I became worried. Jodie Whittaker's Doctor has already been labelled as an appeasement of PC culture, so God knows what folks would make about this episode (there's already a petition set up called "Stop making Doctor Who a SJW/PC Show"), and I really wouldn't like to see the Doctor Who fandom split over this new direction for the Doctor in the same way Star Wars fans apparently have since The Last Jedi.
Also now that Doctor Who has faced racism head on, will it also tackle other uncomfortable subjects, like knife crime in the UK?

As I stated in another thread, this week's villain (Krasko) felt rather lightweight and forgettable. In my other post, I stated my despair that Krasko appeared to be a racist from the future, since I thought mankind would have moved on from such attitudes. But I don't think we've seen the last of Krasko - sending a bad guy who sees nothing wrong with making small changes to history into Earth's past might not be the smartest move by Ryan. Also Krasko knew about the TARDIS, so he has knowledge of the Doctor's race, perhaps?

"Rosa" was a solid episode but at times it felt cringey (that pop song, for example, did NOT work for me).
To me, the Star Trek Deep Space Nine episode "Far Beyond the Stars" was a much more eloquent statement on racism, as is the below comic strip "Judgment Day", from 1953 (two years prior to the arrest of Rosa Parks) - written by Al Feldstein, drawn and inked by Joe Orlando, and colored by the recently departed Marie Severin.
