Paying me about as much to upload the stuff I've taken off of tapes, dvd's
and laserdiscs, as they pay you to download them. I've shared about 4 closets
full of tapes, LD's, and dvd's here at VEF, or in general terms..close to
4 tb. Now I'm not gonna say proof positive, that every single links I've
shared here at VEF, is working, but anyone can tell you, that all it takes
is a quick PM, and usually within a few minutes that link is replaced with

year mark I believe, and folks like you bitched when I used Rapidshare....
they bitched when I used File Serve, and not to say that you're the 1st, but
they've bitched when I've used FF as well. I use the file host I use because it's
what's best for not only me......but the people that download the file that I share.
That means, that of the 10,000 + links I've posted here and about....have stayed
viable longer than any other filehost I've tried. Now if you've got a problem with
that, and don't like me using Filefactory, I'll damn sure burn what you want off
to DVD and mail it to you Air Express....but....I'm gonna charge you out the ass
for it, and not give you any refunds if you don't like what you get. Or.....you can
download the files I've got stored on FF for nuthin'. Which also happens to be
the exact same amount I get paid to reply to you here, and...the exact same amount I
make from Filefactory for posting files I've shared stored there. Now if that STILL
doesn't suit ya.......then I reckon there's no pleasin' someone , when free just ain't
good enough for em.

as far as any help you may need........I can't guess what's going on, with
vague situations and tears mixed in. If you'd actually like to have help
figuring out what's wrong with your downloads, you can PM me. At least
there I won't have to hold my temper if you decide to insinuate that I'm a
"cash ho" again. Awight?

There are no guarantees with any host as a free user

I downloaded a 5 part 1.2gb file manually yesterday & today as an anonymous downloader
- 1 - the last small part no issues the other 4 all failed to download completely
- the first 300mb piece stopped after 16mb and so on.

With a lot of hosts today it pays to register an account as a free user for those times where servers are overloaded and they simply start by dis-connecting all the downloads of

- anonymous downloaders first
- registered free downloaders 2nd

Sometimes it doesnt matter which level your at your simply kicked off because premium users
are the only ones they are interested in catering for as you'd expect.

Bottom line is if you want it real bad you pay

The irony in all this is its the automatic downloader that causes many outages

Theres only a finite amount of bandwidth available which is covered by how many members are at the premium level.

So its always possible that if the premium members are downloading like dogs in heat
us free users will have even less bandwidth available and you guessed it
- kicked off the servers again

The price we pay is waiting times
- they vary depending on demand

Its not by accident in FFs faqs or terms and conditions that they reserve the right to sacrifice the downloads of free users if a server is over stressed


Previous FAQ (now defunct or moved) about their policy with regards to killing free user
links on over stressed servers - the error messages all mean the same thing to me

If you are a free user, you may have come across the following error message:
All free download slots on this server are currently in use

In order to provide the best possible experience for our Premium members, we limit the number of simultaneous connections for free and anonymous users. The limit is for each server, not FileFactory as a whole. If you receive this error message when downloading a file, you still may be able to access files on another server, it all depends on the load on the server at that particular time.

We do this to ensure that our servers do not become overloaded.

Bob, you just keep on doin' what you do. Sometimes there is just no way to please someone no matter what.

So many of us don't care about making a dime sharing material (yourself included) that we can be free to do things like upload to the best host regardless of which one happens to be most popular at the moment. Filehosts as you well know will always cycle as to which one is worth a dang or not. Almost without fail someone will have an issue with them too. What I find astounding is that some here (not naming names) would paint long-standing members that freely share a great deal of rare material as click4cash whores. Even more astounding is to make that assumption based purely on what filehost is utilized.....

Anyone who has been here long enough knows (or should know) how to spot a click4cash poster from a mile away. Some of these "cash hos" have recently been put out to pasture I'm happy to say.

Bob, your contributions here go way beyond uploading rare stuff. You've got such a great depth of knowledge of the material that you specialize in, and you freely share that too I might add

Hey Jazzer.. JD NEVER worked for me on those sites.. hell there's only a few that it DID work on.. I jumped to downthemall 2 years ago.. it gets ALMOST everything.. there's still a couple sites it wont touch.. in that case i just use firefox built in slow downloader.. but at least it works.. did you get the files?? Which ones or parts were the problem.. i wanna give 'em a go just to test my dta.. as for file factory.. i was a 2 month member.. site is jet fast.. if you are a member.. if not..s..l..o..w... in order to make you say screw this i'm joining.. never EVER had server problems as a paid user.. as a non-user 1in 10..

Yep, got them by picking a different mirror provided in the post.

I'm not sure if those are the right links, but it was one of TheBare's contributions which had filefactory mirrors....

So everyone is aware......

Any host, regardless of all section poster's preferences, is subject to removal from the preferred host listing in Classic Movies if the staff determines that they become a major problem for free downloaders to use. It must become a constant ongoing issue for this to happen and staff alone will make the decision if it should become necessary.
