Default Trump gives Saudi benefit of doubt in Khashoggi case

US President Donald Trump has cautioned against rushing to blame Saudi Arabia over the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

He told the AP news agency that Riyadh was being treated as "guilty until proven innocent".

Mr Trump also said that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman had denied knowing what happened to Mr Khashoggi.

Unnamed Turkish officials say a search of the Istanbul Saudi consulate gave more evidence that he was killed there.

The journalist, a critic of the Saudi leadership, was last seen alive entering the consulate on 2 October. Saudi Arabia has denied killing him and initially said he left the building unharmed.

However, the New York Times reports that four of the 15 people named by the Turkish authorities as suspects in Mr Khashoggi's disappearance have links to the crown prince, while another is a senior figure in the country's Interior Ministry.

According to the newspaper, one of the men has been photographed accompanying the royal on recent foreign visits.

This only shows what a total moron Trump is. The lawsuit that was dismissed was not about the non-disclosure agreement. It was about the sketch of the man she said approached her to "lay off Trump". An assertion Trump said was a "con job" about a "non-existent man".

"The Court agrees with Mr. Trump's argument because the tweet in question constitutes 'rhetorical hyperbole' normally associated with politics and public discourse in the United States. The First Amendment protects this type of rhetorical statement," Otero wrote."

For those of you familiar with the use of commas, Trump has finally told the truth.

As I understand it, Stormy was nice enough to give the Donald some relief sex while Melania was all belly-swollen with their baby.

And he repays her by calling her "horseface".

Ingratitude.

Default Trump makes new threat over US-Mexico border

US President Donald Trump has threatened to use military force to completely close the US-Mexico border.

The warning, via a series of tweets on Thursday, comes as a new caravan of more than 3,000 migrants from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala heads north.

Mr Trump has already threatened to cut all aid payments to the three countries over illegal immigration (FYI: The US sent more than $175m (£130m) to Honduras in 2016 and 2017, according to the US Agency for International Development).

The group says they are fleeing violence and poverty.

"In addition to stopping all payments to these countries, which seem to have almost no control over their population, I must, in the strongest of terms, ask Mexico to stop this onslaught - and if unable to do so I will call up the U.S. Military and CLOSE OUR SOUTHERN BORDER!," Mr Trump wrote.

Much as I dislike Mr Trump, I feel bound to say we British had a similar issue with the Calais riffraff not long ago, people tearing down fences and wanting to stampede the Channel Tunnel and enter our country by force. We didn't kill very many people but we did use force to prevent our border being stampeded. I hope Mr Trump isn't planning to go straight to the A10 Warthogs, who might liquidate the border patrol by mistake. But if this is a real story about a real thing, that thousands of illegal migrants are openly planning to swarm across by force of numbers, then Mr Trump has a duty to face that one down and make an example, so that others will not follow suit.

The Dumpster has overlooked that the border is 1,954 miles (3,145 km) long with quite a bit of harsh desert and rugged mountain terrain. Also, Congress controls his budget. While he is the Commander-in-Chief, they get to tell him whether the taxpayers will pay for his pique.

A few thousand busboys, hotel maids, and landscape gardeners are not likely to cause much of a ripple. Who knows, some of their grandkids might grow up to become federal judges.

a caravan of women and children plowing into the Sonoran Desert is not a happy prospect.

One of the reasons that we _have_ Donald Trump is that the Ds -- and indeed the moderate Rs-- couldn't come up with a border policy beyond open borders.

We have to acknowledge that earlier immigration policies did not amount to a sustainable plan. Note that the Obama Administration was deporting huge numbers of people.
