As usual I celebrated too soon. I still need to learn when quoting how to put in the PostID so that little mark will get in which when clicked on will take a member back to the original post. Ho Hum! Nuts!

Hoooray. I can do it now. hos's instructions for this are not clear, so I looked in The Rulessection and their explanation is better!

Part 3

The green aliens awoke a few minutes after their great starship had crashed into the Australian outback. These aliens after evolving for millions of years no longer used a spoken language as they no longer have vocal chords. They communicate to one another by telepathy. They can communicate to aliens from other worlds, but what an alien would see in his mind are pictures not words. The green skinned aliens don't have names. I shall call them alien 1, and alien 2. Alien 1 says to alien two-what happened. Alien two says let's see what the ship sensors have to report. The aliens climb out of their sleep chambers and go over to a console. The report says that their ship had a slight navigation problem which propelled it into a pulsar about 70,000 light years from Earth, and the ship's flight sent them on a direct course to Earth. All the time the ship was heading to Earth the sensors were taking readings. The aliens can attach a device to the machine which will instantly download into their minds everything which the sensors recorded. They now have a complete picture of everything about Earth. The aliens are not surprised. They have seen millions of planets in thousands of galaxies over many thousands of years. The aliens are nearly immortal with life spans in the many hundreds of thousands of years. Alien one says to alien two- Earth is an average M-class planet with an intelligent bi-pedal mammalian species called humans. Earth is quite nice looking as planets go. It has large oceans, large land masses which have all kinds of different environments: deserts, plains, mountain ranges, lakes, long rivers, swamps, ice continents, thousands of inhabited and non-inhabited islands.

While the aliens were busy with studying the information about Earth, the American and Australian military had advanced to the lip of the 2 mile wide crater. The could see with binoculars the large alien ship at the bottom, but did not do anything about this at first, until they could take readings with their primitive machinery. Over a period of a few weeks construction began on a catwalk which would lead down to the bottom of the crater where the military could bring their machinery to set up to study the ship and see if it could be opened. They were amazed that this incredible impact did not obliterate the ship. The aliens during this time saw this activity and just for their own amusement let it happen. They had all the time in the world. They saw that the ship was un-damaged and could lift off anytime, but they wanted to see what the humans would do to try to get into their mighty ship.

As a non-alien I obviously cannot imagine what picture might be used to convey the question: what happened.

... but I can imagine what sorts of images might be used when alien 1 (or 2?) wants to talk about cheese.
