Well, I actually thought that the new P&H site was pretty good after its 'upgrade'. Quite a good format to view pics, not that I use it to store pics, just add them for VEF........HOWEVER if they don't hurry up and sort that bloody Browse button out............GRRRRR! (and no, I am not going to use Imagebam and it's awful pop up ads)

Unfortunately, all hosts seem to be getting in on the act of those annoying and irritating ads received when clicking onto any image for the first time when first logging into to VEF, which you must close by clicking "Close ad and Continue to Your Image".

Then there are those annoying smaller ads (some which flash) which appear above the opened images!

I still feel that it is all that ad crap which is helping contribute to all the glitches and issues image host sites periodically experience.

Can anyone explain the difference between these two pics in regards viewing online?

They're from Michelle's thread here and are just examples - one for each of my scenarios.

They both allow right click and to choose Open Image in New Tab. The first one, however, doesn't open a tab, it actually opens a file save dialog for me to save the pic locally to my hard drive.

The second picture does open a new tab to view the jpg file.

I have Noscript running in Chrome, to avoid the left-clicking and invoking of ads from Imagebam. This "irritant" has been happening for years and does so on Firefox too. I've tried allowing scripts on imagebam, but that just allows the Click to continue type message and launches an ad tab.

For me, there is no difference between the two. However, I'm blocking imagebam.com/files in my settings for BlockSite.

Still having P&H issues...so best to use a different imagehost for time being.
