ImageHostGrabber & Firefox v42 Problem

The version of Firefox that will cause IHG to quit working has been changed
That version # is 44.0

The developers of ImageHostGrabber are warning that their program will NOT work under Firefox version 42 because FFv42 requires Addons/Extension Signing.

If you use ImageHostGrabber and Firefox you would be wise to investigate these issues BEFORE updating to version 42.

I upgraded, and it is working, at least so far.

Funny, I didn't Upgrade and still have 41.0.2 but the Grabber isn't working anymore.
Now I have manually updated the host file and it works again, maybe it was a problem with the Auto Update function of the grabber.

Fx42 is not where this feature will land.

Fx43 will require extensions to be signed, but there will be a user preference (about:config) that will allow the requirement to be disabled.

Fx44 will remove that preference. Then we're stuffed.

Note that the domain for ImageHost Grabber has again recently changed.
Was originally .com, then changed to .eu; now changed to .org.
The hostfile editor needs to know the current domain.

Thanks for the update.
And for those following this thread, note that the developers of Imagehost Grabber are in dire need of a programmer to help them make the app comply with Mozilla's requirement for extension signing.

Back in August, they said v42. Maybe they're giving some extra leeway?

OK but as EU is still online, where do I get the latest hostfile?

I don't think that the update function will compare dates to make sure you get the latest.

both places...for now as the site says.
But the .org domain is the current 'home' so future updates will only be there
i.e. http://imagehost-grabber.org/hostf.xml

Just tried imagebam with jdownloader - if you select all the pictures then "view selection source" you can copy them into jdownloader - et voila' (its not perfect but it works)
