This maybe a longer way to open a new tab, but maybe easier to handle (?)

Note: "open link in a new tab" : this text can be different as i translated that sentence from the dutch text ...

@ moderators, if this not a useful post, please remove!

I have an even easier way. The scroll wheel acts as a third button on my mouse, clicking a link with that opens the link in a new tab in Firefox.

If we're collecting favourite methods to open in a new tab, anyone using Firefox with Tab Mix Plus installed has another, particularly applicable to this situation: <ALT>click on the current tab - alternatively, right-click on it to get the tab context menu, then select 'Lock Tab'.

Now all links in that tab that formerly opened in the same tab open in a new (unfocused) one - but links in other tabs aren't affected. Reverse the action to unlock the tab.
