I'm having a ' 1fichier ' issue, and after reading all the posts here, i was hoping someone could help.
Bascially: why can't i get 1fichier to work?
Anything with ' 1fichier ' in the link goes to:
IE: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
Firefox: "The connection was reset. The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading."
Chrome: "The webpage is not available"
I can't even get to ' http://1fichier.com/ ', same results!

No problems here , I'd scan my puter with a GOOD anti-virus for malaware
Check your hosts file(s) too

For me, that link redirects to https://1fichier.com/

If that doesn't work for you, try flushing your DNS cache.

- scanned with the latest Avast AntiVirus
- scanned with the latest MalWareBytes anti-malware
- checked my host files, replaced it with a new file [both listed the only IP number for this computer, which is the correct one, so i replaced it for the sake of it, didn't really need to]
- flushed my DNS cache ['I flushed!, Honest Mom, i flushed!', lol]
- even tried 'https' instead of 'http', to see if THAT would work
Nothing changed. Same '1fichier' problem. Can't get to it in any of the 3 browsers i use. Curses...

Try different DNS servers, maybe your ISP is blocking it somehow. You can use Google public DNS. primary server: 8.8.8.8 secondary server 8.8.4.4.

Try from a linux live, from same pc, that way you will know if it is from your software...

'jenny48549' & 'pigulici's posts got me a-thinkin'! So i remembered that whenever i had this problem, i used a PROXY SERVER [the one i usually use, i think it's probably against rules to post the link to it here at VEF]....and sure enough: using the proxy server, they BOTH worked ['http' & 'https']. It got me to 1fichier's homepage[s], at least. NOW, to think of all the goodstuff i passed UP, frowning over not being able to get to 1fichier. Grrr....at any rate, i'll be looking for something to download from them, and let you know if it actually worked or not. My thanx to all who posted replies.
