Reminds me of a cheap-ass show called 'The Secret Life Of..'. The first subject?..Caligula. Did you know he was depraved? Madness.

This episode was first aired on October 10, 1966 and filmed between June 27 -July 1, 1966. That would make Joyce 16. It's not impossible but does anyone know the location of this shoot? If it were California, that might be a better chance of the girl being Joyce.

No, that's not Joyce. The locations for that episode was England, Ireland and the Netherlands.

A co-worker lent the re imagined BGS to me back when it first came out. He was young enough that he had never seen the original 70's version so he never knew it was basically just a quick and cheep show trying to cash in on the Star Wars phenomenon. He was insistent that it (the new one) was the most amazing thing he had ever seen and wanted to get my take on it. I resisted for the longest time, and I cant remember why I finally consented to watch the new BGS but I am glad I did. On a work night I pretty much burned thru season 1 by about 5:30 in the morning. It was NOT what I was expecting at all, and it is very definitely a genuine contender for the greatest Sci Fi show of all time.

Years ago I talked with Arv Miller, publisher of Fling Magazine, and he mentioned Joyce. He said she was the most assertive model he ever met; she regularly came by his office to see if he wanted to set up a photo shoot with her.

The Monkees never shot overseas. There may have been plot lines that put the story elsewhere, but they shot in L.A., and for the most part, on the Columbia Pictures lot.

The episode opens with a street scene, the Monkeemobile driving up and people walking on the sidewalk. There's a girl in a blue blouse with long dark hair. It could easily be a 16-year-old Joyce.
