I think this video is already in the thread but not in this form, because there are (at least) two edits. Although both are tame by modern standards, one of them was edited down for the particularly prudish pre-internet standards of our fabulous freedom of speech country. God Save The Queen but No Sex Please, We're British.

So I had the slightly naughty version in poor quality, found the somewhat better quality version (neither from this time period needless to say are exactly Quad HD) and while watching it realised something was weird and offputting about it. A subsequent analysis revealed that the very slightly more naughty bits had been covered over by just repeating other sections of the video, somewhat slowed down to fit, hence the sense of something wrong while watching.

I am a completist and decided to stitch the two back together. When we get to the bowdlerised sections, it cuts to the poor quality version (apparently a VHS rip from a somewhat worn tape). I also repaired a few particularly bad frames as best I could which were covered in static, or rolled due to loss of sync, etc. Fortunately, the hasty "cover over" editing (perhaps after the BBFC rejected the very slightly naughtier one) meant that the videos stay in perfect sync, down to the frame, so there are no jumps at all as it switches back and forth.

Soundtrack is the better quality version, which is less energetic than the "naughty" version which is some irritating sort of sub-techno. This soundtrack also contains a few noises off, including something falling over in the bathroom, possibly due to cameraman blundering into whatever it is.

Here's the video. I did my best with quality, but obviously one pays an unavoidable price for re-encoding source which was poor in the first place.

I find it somewhat irritating that somebody, somewhere, must have the original source tapes for all this stuff that could be made available at higher quality. I guess there's not much of a market, now it's "vintage". Sigh. Part of the reason for doing this kind of edit is that, there was such a paucity of material back then that "every frame counts".

Somewhat embarrassed, I've realised that the file in the post above is not the final one. It hasn't got the naughty bits sections correctly scaled, so the picture size jumps between the two sources.

So this is the file again, without that error. I'm leaving the original up for comparison, since the rescaling does in my subjective opinion cause a bit more pixellation. But this version, the images are the same size so you don't get the jarring "snap in and out" of the edits.

Again a RAR file, 240MB, video length 11:58, avi, 640x480, 2500kbps.

Password is "spoonman2" again.

Good work spoonman2. Some time ago Viv released a compilation DVD entitled "UK vs Europe" which I acquired because it featured 2 scenes from Babes Abroad, this one with Adele and Natasha and a solo scene with Rebekah Teasdale. To my utter dismay both scenes were butchered versions of the originals despite the video being rated R18. I had of course hoped to see the original (perhaps even extended and more explicit) footage than was allowed back in 1999 but alas this was not the case. One can only hope Viv has the original footage somewhere, perhaps even in a more explicit version. Indeed, the stills of this scene used on the cover of "UK vs Europe" were far more explicit than on the DVD or your restoration...
