To be honest palo, I'm not really all that tech-savvy - but I do only pay for a fairly basic package that suits me just fine. I think that much higher performing broadband is available here if you find/pay the right provider.

But I am too mean.

Anyway...back to Australia....

My connection is s***. I don't care. Apart from V.E.F and a couple of other websites i visit, it's adequate enough.

My telephone carrier AT&T sent me a letter 6 months ago saying that if I did not agree to buy the high speed internet that they would turn off my internet. It turned out that almost everyone in my building got the same letter. It was all a scam. I talked to one of the AT&T managers and he said that someone at the company was supposed to send out a letter to all AT&T internet customers saying that if they switch to the high speed internet(10 mb/s) that they would get a 60% reduction in their phone bill for the first two years, but someone else sent this phony letter instead.

The reason I did not take this high speed internet that AT&T calls U-verse is that some other people in the building have it and they say that it is nothing but constant trouble. The reason is because our building is not wired with the special fiber cable necessary to receive the high speed internet signal. The building telephone room in the basement only has the regular copper phone and internet wire, and this can only handle the slower broadband speeds of between 50 and 120 kb/s. As I said in a previous post I don't need these higher speeds and I won't pay for something that other residents say just does not function correctly.

This sounds familiar.

It used to be a Quadrella, but a Quadrella is something else these days.

Rather oddly, a quinella does not involve selecting 5 horses/riders.
... not that I've ever.
