Default Your 'stash' when you die :(

Just like to touch on what Bronxyman mentioned in his "Does your partner know about your porn or do you hide it?" thread

I have done a search but can't find anything relating to this, if there is one I do apologise.

I was only thinking the other day about when I go (yes, yes it's gonna happen) what is to happen to the collection I have built up, will my children go through the PC and see all that porn, lol how embarrassing

I was just wondering as I can't relate to anyone, (maybe someone on a porn forum though!) my mates have like a couple of mags and dvd's but not the gb's of porn that I have and I will be certainly keeping it from my girlfriend! BUT, but what happens if I have an accident and she sees it all, will it taint the feelings she had for me lol.

She has toys (we're using them) but thats slightly different in my opinion, seems it's more acceptable.

Maybe by the time I'm an old git there maybe something invented that when my brain switches off it will destroy all the contents on the hard-drive!! I think I would shell out for that device.

Is it worth writing an apology letter in advance in the folder

Has anyone else had thoughts about this?

I do apologise for the negative look of this thread, I wish all VEF members good health

Cheers, JDCub

A friend of mine once invited me to help clear out the library of another friend who had recently passed away from cancer (it shouldn't happen to anyone on this list!). The guy was an amazing collector with some first rate books, many of which I bought from my friend (who was the executor of the estate). I turned the corner of the living room and asked what the pile of magazines were. My friend shrugged and said "kinky sex." Being the inquisitive type, I had a look: mostly very poorly photographed BDSM magazines apparently from the 70s and 80s--the kind of cheap, repackaged stuff you can get at a newsstand in any anonymous city. It clearly embarrassed my friend. So I had to wonder: the other guy wasn't, heaven forbid, killed in a car crash or something, so knowing his prognosis, why did he leave this stuff lying around? Getting rid of it would have been the first thing I would have done once I found out the dismal news. I hope it will be a while before I put my money where my mouth is on this one!

kind of an interesting topic I guess. I don't have much myself, but there was an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm that dealt with this topic -- http://www.megavideo.com/?d=G8JMUAHZ

(if you'd rather download the avi, replace megavideo with megaupload)

I think it would be embarrassing that after being at death's door you actually survived...after having your kids (and mum if she's still alive) going through your affects and discovering your Long Jeanne Silver video....and then your German watersports collection...and then Fart Brazil.
Look, porn these days doesn't have the stigma attached to it like it did in earlier times. If I discovered a few art mags in my dad's stuff I don't think I'd worry to much unless you come across something illegal. But that's another story.

Wink Porn and Guns: Taken only from my cold dead hands

I made the terrible mistake of unloading my initial porn collection when I got married. In theory, it made sense at the time, but she really wasn't bringing an "A game" to the table (or bed), so I began missing "the girls"..Trinity, Tracey, Renee Summers, Christy Canyon, Lisa Deleuw (sp), Little Oral Annie and Sarah Jane.

I eventually rebuilt the collection...but some stuff I never found again. This forum has been terrific in respect to occassionally finding some of that old stuff.

I had a few great hiding places...like under the insulation in the attic crawl space, but would eventually get too lazy to return the tapes to the hiding place.

Another technique was to label the tapes with titles (or place inside boxes) that she would have absolutely no interest in viewing. I filled all my "Avengers" VHS boxes with porn. (The fact she wasn't interested in Steed, Mrs Peel or Tara King was also an indicator the marriage was doomed

I wouldn't recommend tossing the collection if you get the long face from the doctor...if you recover, you'll just start rebuilding and no sense paying for the same stuff twice.

The most potentially embarrassing stuff I have is when Tracey Adams and Trinity Loren moved on to fetish movies. Whoever goes through my "estate" should realize I followed the actresses, rather than developed interest in the film's content. If they don't follow that logic thread, I'll be too dead to really care.

To work my way through college I did a lot of odd jobs. Once I was helping a moving company transfer some executives to another town. While I was loading a box on the truck I tripped over something and fell dumping the box. I picked myself up and started to repack the box when I found a large black double headed dildo. This sucker was at least a foot long. I had a little chuckle to myself repacked the box never letting on to anyone what I had found.

Well lads I'm 64yo and in poor health. I have an extensive collection on HD and on CD. I must say that I worry about this problem constantly. My wife knows nothing about the collection and has no knowledge of even how to turn on a PC. This is all ok until I sliver off this mortal plane. Then my somewhat puritan son takes over as executor, and he's a cop, (not that there is anything illegal in my stash) and he knows how to turn on a PC!

I have a friend who is "an internet lady", and although I have never been fully intimate with her, I have a large collection of my own photographs of her, in all sorts of poses. These are all on CD, plus I have all her web stuff on my HD. It is inconceivable to jettison all this stuff!

I might live for another 15 years with much luck, or I might go next week! I don't have any pals who share my interest................WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

And now, you might appreciate my signiture some!

It's not easy to say what I would in your situation without knowing what kind of person you are. I mean are you the sort of person to worry about what others my think once you cash your chips in or are you the devilish type that couldn't give a toss what others think and will get some kind of satisfaction exposing the "puritans" in your family to your collection.
I guess you have to ask yourself at this time of your life do you really need everything you have. For a start you don't mention you have magazines, so there's the "collectors items" angle gone. Do you really need 500GB of material to use as inspiration when bashing the bishop?
I personally would, if it was me, get rid of the cd's. Anything on your HD I would put under one folder for ease of disposal when the time comes. I guess you could hide said folder within another folder within another folder etc so in the event you don't get a chance to delete the evidence you can hope that it may not be found.
I'm sure some fellow readers her would give you some tips on where the best place would be to hide a folder on the computer.
Good luck and I look forward to seeing what others have to say about this.
