Your reasoning feels a bit weird, so homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to marry someone because some heterosexuals marry for other reasons than love?

I'm talking civil marriage, of course, the church has all the right to disallow non-hetero marriage (on a religious level). Their club, their rules.

Edit: allowing same sex marriage might help keeping it out of the media, by the way. You might benefit from it in the end

I have no problem with Gay marriage. As long as two people are in love and committed to each other, then in all honesty I don't see a problem, and it's not like they're hurting anyone. As for Lesbian porn, I love it, and enjoying watching it, as it's hot seeing two beautiful women turning each other on.

The point is. I'm saying the reason why there's such a huge public campaign in various countries to allow gay marriage is so that it's validated. Therefore said homosexuals feel emotionally validated. I'm saying that's not good enough.

Certainly in Australia. The narrative or rhetoric is emotional, it's an appeal for acceptance. The wider public aren't going to say "We get it. You're homosexual. There's either no or negligible derision. There's no blatant "homophobia". No one's kicking your head in because you're homosexual (like it was known in the past). You're not special. Stfu and stop wasting public/media attention."

I write "married" because it was only a registered partnership. Although Westerwelle never was very active with regard to gay politics, I think for a lot of people it was an important signal. I was never such a fan of him, but it was sad that he died at the age of only 44. And I have to say the he and his husband are a cute couple especially when they were suits.

Eh, no, I am not saying that. I just like to discuss gay marriage with the focus on two men and spice it up with some hot lesbian pictures.

I don't really see the correlation between 'lesbian' porn and gay marriage. Viewing lesbian porn (and it's unlikely that most of the women in lesbian porn are truly lesbians anyway) doesn't necessarily mean you are (or should be) in favour of gay marriage, nor do I feel that it's hypocritical to enjoy woman on woman porn but not be in favour of gay marriage. They are two entirely different subjects as far as I see.
I think the mistake that most homosexuals make is that they expect everyone else to agree with and, therefore, validate their lifestyle instead of just getting on with their lives. Straight guys enjoying 'lesbian' porn isn't necessarily an acceptance of homosexuality or a validation of gay marriage.
