Twice I have gone vegetarian for a month and both times I gave up. Not because of a craving for the taste, but those canine teeth. Those bastards are made for gripping flesh while the incisors tear through. I needed the sensation of tearing flesh apart rather than the flavour. Our teeth are perfect proof we are supposed to eat everything that doesn;t eat us first. Our stomach is not like a sheep or cow, so vegan is not what we were constructed for. We also dont have stomachs like lions, so a diet consisting solely of meat is not an option either.
I reckon the perfect amount of meat for our health and the sake of the planet would be what ES considers a meal, we should eat that over the course of a week. |

To keep wives in the kitchen longer takes more time to fry a steak than toss a salad This link below, might seem a joke and much of it is, but there are some very good truths amongst his sarcasm Plus being an Aussie makes it gospel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaR9_loA2ig

Tbh I never understand this 'nature' argument anyway. Nature is horrible, that's why we have civilisation, so we can attempt to rise above it. We're constructed for breeding and then dying of tooth decay or something at age 30. |

Nature? For vegans and vegetarians. We have two eyes in the front of our heads just like all predators. Depth perception? Bollocks. Range finding. Can I run it down and kill it and eat it? Can it run me down, kill me and eat me? Nature and evolution.
And have they ignored the documentary evidence where chimps have been seen to be carnivores and cannibals? I consider that to be proof they are evolving. |

I would like to backtrack a bit. If I was in the USA I would be vegetarian six days out of seven unless I could find an outlet for organic meat. It is illegal in the UK and Europe due to antibiotics and growth hormones, not even for pet food. Obama visited Europe just before his term ended in an attempt to get our regulations changed including food labeling. You cant give GM food away if it is clearly labeled on this side of the Atlantic.

Initially there was one topic about "veganism" and another one (more specific) about: "Would you still eat meat if vegan food would taste like meat?", but both have been merged into a far more controversial title. I couldn't write a too long title, so when I wrote "taste" it was about "having the same consistence, the same taste, etc...) Dr Pepper pointed that we had not to forget the point : "if it was as nutritive as real meat" too. I pointed that we could add the missing B12 vitamin. I personnaly do not blame eskimos to be eskimos, hunter gatherers to hunt, etc.... I'm an ex-meat eater and still skeptical about several "vegan" arguments. (IMO an egg doesn't suffer, we still could eat eggs if hens have good conditions of life, but milk is unfair. I agree more with ovo-vegetarianism than veganism.) What I blame the most is how we today treat animals and environment. So I try to be as honest as possible with my "ethics". IMO animals are treated like objects and several scientific researches try to demonstrate that producing so much meat on earth is really harmful for the environment. So... if vegan food would be taste and get the same texture as meat, would you still eat meat or not ? |

She's probably one of the most brilliant person I've met with in my life. She understand everything in a snap of finger. She's a genius. She's ovo-vegetarian since her childhood. Srinivasa Ramanujan... one of the greatest mathematicians ever never ate meat. Albert Einstein had a lot of "ethical" problems to eat animals. He even started to stop eating meat at the end of his life. I'm sorry but your assertion is wrong. It's not demonstrated that people who don't eat meat are weaker minded. They suffer less of brain sclerosis, because they question ethics, when meat eaters do not. |
