Default Danice Was Da Knees' Bees

Beetlejuice committed suicide before turning into a mischievous demon. The movie didn't mention this, but when he was a human (named "Bozman"), the reason Beetlejuice killed himself must have been because he couldn't stand not being more like Beutelwolf, VEF's very own paludicolous paravant. Yes, Beutelwolf is one in a million (well, one in over 400,000, the membership according to what this site has lifted from a page here; some other claims about VEF that came up). Look at the top three posts, contributed over a span of two-and-a-half years; how does Beutelwolf manage to consistently uncover such obscurities, and since 2005 (for God's sake).

There's the juicy insect himself, played
by Michael Keaton, and surrounded by
the ghostly couple played by Geena Davis
and Alec Baldwin, back in 1988.

I am a monkey's uncle again, because my purpose was to put up images of the lady who stars in this thread, but at the last minute I learned the one I had in mind is named Denise Daniels... whom I missed, because her thread goes by the name of "Robin Bliss."

I couldn't let my introduction (and ode to VEF's paravant extraordinaire) go to waste, so now I had to provide content on Danice (instead of Denise). Notice how Danice has been ignored for almost ten years, further testament to how she has slipped through the cracks.

Yet a search revealed very little. One may tell from the three images above that this lady was absolutely spectacular-looking, and she had a "breath of fresh air" quality about her. (Although her face can't be made out clearly in two of the images from above — not that with a body as hers, there would be much complaint. This is a deficiency I will be remedying.)

I studied the captions from the posts above, but there wasn't much to be learned. (The one from the second post revealed Danice is or was from the United States, and hoped to broaden her horizons by going to Europe.) At least there is one cinematic record that has been made of the lady (IMDb page), that of Magic Spectacles (1961... written by Arch "The Sadist" Hall Jr.), about a loser who finds glasses that provide "X-ray vision." Unfortunately, a copy of the film does not seem to be readily available (she is one of five "Go Go Go Go Girls").

The blonde on the March 1962 cover of Caper magazine (above) has been pegged as the "Covergirl & Centerfold," according to this site. Note the images provided by Beutelwolf are all dated 1968, which means Danice Daniels was working for at least half-a-dozen years. (Longer, actually, given the year of release of her apparent one and only movie.) It is interesting (not to mention unfair) how she has disappeared from memory so completely.

The description further adds,
"Photos from this setting and
model shoot appeared in Capers
Choicest Magazine in 1963,
alongside the model’s enviable
measurements (5’5″, 119 lbs,
38.23.37, blonde hair and
chameleon like eyes). This was
commissioned and used as
Calendar Art by The Brown &
Bigelow Calendar Company,
Saint Paul Minnesota."

When Ms. Daniels was active, she seemed to have been enough of a big deal for an artist named Earl Moran to have rendered the "unlikely proportioned pin-up model Danice Daniels in a sexy, coy, playful, sex kitten pose that recalls Alberto Vargas' work for the pages of Playboy Magazine during the era," as worded on this page. The description adds the painting, as seen above, is from "1953," implying Danice was active for at least fifteen years (which doesn't sound right; of course, the 1968 photos could have been taken earlier, but she looks younger than in her thirties. I later remembered having discussed Vargas, who got started in Playboy in 1959... so if the painting seen above emulated Vargas, the 1953 year was incorrect).

If Ms. Daniels succeeded in making enough of a mark, you would think she could have found her way into films, particularly as the oncoming decade of the 1970s became permissive. "Them's the breaks," they say, and it is a pity this very beautiful and sexy woman did not find greater opportunities.
