You wouldn't believe the state some people let their pc/laptop's get into, only then to bring them in complaining they don't work anymore... lol. But assuming windows7 was working you could've found updates on any of the many computer forums; as I just did by typing a search into Google... (i also have them on a handy disc; but that's cause i can) Glad you're enjoying Win10, as you're in an elite club....

If i'm honest i only use my computer for entertainment, no facebook ,twatter or banking details, so I don't really care about saving important documents.. if I have to find any downloaded movies/music/pictures, I just search again........ easy come, easy go.

I'm sorry but blowing dust bunnies out of a computer with a can of compressed air or chastising a client for not performing regular backups really doesn't qualify as hard labor.

The words of a man who knows jack shit about the actual job. (i don't use cans of air as it blows the shit around the rest of the room, i use my hands & fine brushes; & i never chastise a customer, or they don't tend to come back) Oh, and there's an extra letter in LABOUR. People like you would at a truck driver & say he sits on his arse all day too..? rant over. (counts to twenty, as ten never works.... )

The only difference between the free W10 upgrade and the bought one is the system its on Upgrading on an old PC had all the potential driver issues etc to over come A new PC going forward will probably be fine until a windows update causes an issue with a 3rd party piece of software or hardware for a time. With cumulative patching now in there will be no avoiding it Actually Windows 7 updates wont be ending until 2020 , Windows 8 - 2023 What occurred earlier this year slowed updates down to a snails pace in slow motion or a infinite loop. There were various solutions which worked for awhile month after month. Took me about 5 Key bulletin downloads from the MS windows catalogue before updates were working normally. http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Faq.aspx http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Support.aspx You can now access the windows catalogue with any browser This is the latest solution if you ever want to revive updates on W7 http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/sho...1&postcount=74 All the most recent articles on W7/8/10 http://www.infoworld.com/blog/woody-on-windows/ Last edited by buttsie; October 27th, 2016 at 06:29 PM.. Yet after a deletion, (just after) there still is a possibility of getting your deleted data back. You should see a specialist. You must know deleted files are not immediately erased. They are erased only by writing on them. |

Question for the thread: Now that I am using Windows 10, I get the Smart Screen Filter blocking some downloads from some downloading sites such as Uploaded. The same file can be downloaded from Depositfiles or 1Fichier with no problem. Is there a reason it does this?
Thank you in advance! |

It uses a flawed system of users being able to report sites - we see all too often those not blocking ads getting malware warnings - site gets reported - nothing to do with the downloads. You can actually turn it on and off pretty easily https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/...een-filter-faq http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5...dows-10-a.html If you ever want a 2nd opinion on sites enter the URL or image here 68 different places analyse it https://www.virustotal.com/ Personally I think anything MS browser related is best avoided like the plague but if your going to keep using it you might as well follow the best practice guide other major alternatives are mentioned as well How to Harden Your Browser Against Malware and Privacy Concerns http://www.techsupportalert.com/cont...y-concerns.htm |
