Some interesting results today -
Chelsea hammering Sunderland Spurs only drawing against Hull City getting beat Forest run continues Leeds not won since beating United Also, got told today that if Liverpool dont finish in top 4, then Torres to Barcelona is a done deal. |

Still a case of half a dozen clubs playing for the lesser European places 4-6 and maybe stealing a champions league berth as Aston Villa almost did to Arsenal last year before fading while the rest simply looking to avoid the bottom 3 If you want a sure fire way of being relegated then i think you simply follow the path of Graham Taylor(Watford 1996-2001)...dont strengthen the championship winning team until your 0-8 in the premiership...truly bizarre for such an experienced manager What strikes me about the premiership is there are so many teams that could easily be relegated and very few who after promotion might do a Norwich(3rd 92/93)West Ham(98/99 5th or 7th) |

Buttsie, have to agree with you. Don't know if it is me, but the league seems weaker this year for some reason? Maybe the rich footballers can't be bothered this year (might be the cold weather?).
Having watched Liverpool v. Reading the other night ....... I cannot see any reason why my team Nottingham Forest should not hold themselves in the league if they get promoted? Reading deserved to win! I thought Liverpool were poor to say the least and they surely cannot continue to rely solely on Torres and Gerrard (who sometimes in their body language do not appear to be so bothered themselves). In my opinion ..... Chelsea are going to win the League this season, simply because I cannot see any other team mounting a serious threat to them. Everybody will just have to wait for Forest to get promoted before another serious threat can be taken seriously. (Think I ought to be on the stage .... I can hear people laughing from here! ha ha). |
