Yes - this, and the way they will cut odd bars out of the song, to make it fit, so a long, tension-building gap between lines has gone; often, if you're tapping along to the rhythm, you can find yourself out of time because the editing has been done so badly. (The use of "Suspicious Minds" in some advert last year was especially bad for this.)
