Now that is a line up and a half. I quite liked Yvette Fielding but she used to scream her head off if she got excited by say a rollercoaster. Caron Keating was lovely, sad when she passed away and the other dark-haired girl Romana D'Anunzio. Of course they weren't just picked for their man-appeal There was also another Irish girl Zoe Salmon, a former beauty queen who was a favourite with many but Katy Hill & Helen Skelton were the hottest one by far.

You mean that topless video of a 17 year old Helen Skelton on the beach in Spain (apparently). Very wise Mal, against the rules and who wants to see to see that sort of thing anyway.

I think Lesley Judd was my favourite, '72-'79

You must get a flu shot. I once had the flu , and this was before the vaccine was readily available in mass quantities and it made me sick for more than one month. I had a very painful sore throat. I could hardly eat. I had stomach cramps, was sneezing and had severe nasal stuffiness, and practically stayed in bed for the entire month. I never wanted to go through that ever again. Since I have been getting the flu shot evey year for the last 33 years I haven't gotten the flu once.

I don't know... in all my life i never had a single flu shot and only once i actually caught the flu.

I must admit i was really sick for about a week (few days completely out cold in bed - i remember fever dreams and everything hurting - and many days recovering after that, it wasn't a pleasant experience).

In hindsight, a yearly vaccine might be better than a week of suffering, and for old people and infants it can be outright dangerous.
Guess i'm personally too lazy for it (and i don't interact with many people anyway...). If i catch it again i'll probably change my mind

Leila Williams, Valerie Singleton, Lesley Judd, Tina Heath, Janet Ellis, Sarah Greene, Yvette Fielding, Caron Keating(sadly died), Romana D'Anunzio, Katy Hill, Anthea Turner, Konnie Huq(longest serving female), Helen Skelton, Zoe Salmon right up to Linsey today. It was worth watching back then and my sister used to get a Blue Peter annual every year some of which we still have but I never got a Blue Peter badge!!

Wasn't without controversy. Michael Sundin who was Tik Tok in Journey Back To Oz was found to have been rather silly in a nightclub(gay), Richard Bacon was sacked for taking a substance and photographed in the News of the World, Tina Heath had a a baby whilst not married - shocking at the time it seemed.

I'm going to admit to turning down both the shingles and flu shots. Several reasons. I'm not sure how effective either are and in the case of flu, I know quite a few people who have had really bad reactions to innoculations. Yes, I know the NHS says this is no longer an issue, but I'm not convinced. What I have had in recent years, is two very bad doses of the noro virus. It's seriously unpleasant and almost put me in hospital the second time. The best defence for this nasty winter bug would seem to be not touching shop doors, wearing gloves as often as possible and being cautious about contact with people when you're out and about. One thing that really annoys me is being in a shop when someone comes up alongside you and starts coughing like mad. I immediately walk out.

One of the first things they ask you, before the jab is "are you allergic to eggs?"

I've had norovirus and it is the most unpleasant thing around. I got it one Christmas time, it ruined Christmas for me and I didn't have my dinner until January because my appetite went and I was scared stiff of throwing up anything eaten. The projectile vomiting was most nasty although I only did it once for a few seconds and it didn't happen again. I never want to go through that again.

If I do get a cold or flu, I don't take a thing for it, just suffer a bit for a week which is no big deal.

Maybe you just have really good immunity. It reminds me of when I was younger. My younger brother and I loved to eat a lot of candy, and though I brushed my teeth a lot I still got many cavities when I went to see the family dentist every six months. My younger brother, however, did not take good care of his teeth, but rarely got any cavities and I asked the dentist why my brother never gets cavities and he said P. may just have very strong immunity in his mouth.
