The only time that I have ever fired a gun was at a gopher in Canada,It was a .22 rifle,I hit Him in the head,He went quietly..

Nah, it was a lot louder and more high pitched. I think the vids in this thread are of lower volume because the rabbits are being crushed by their predator while the rabbit I murdered was standing on its rear legs, was shot in the upper part of the chest and keeled over backwards - screaming all the way. It was also much bigger and fatter than any of the rabbits in the vids.

Its a good thing I don't have to watch the deaths of the cows that provide the meat I eat. That would certainly put a damper on my enjoyment of food.

I could kill the bunny, problem is, my neighbor's dog is about the size of a large bunny, and it would inevitably wind up in the trap.

I'd never hear the end of it...

When I lived in the hills with my Akita's I always knew when the guy across the valley was butchering his rabbit's. The dogs got very upset by the sounds that I could not hear.
I've heard rabbits make an odd chittering sound when a cat gets them. Doesn't last long, those cats are very efficient killers, they know right where to bite on the rabbit's spine.

You should probably never visit a slaughterhouse then.

There used to be a butchers market with slaughtering facilities around where I lived as a boy, they used to put all the offal, guts and stomachs and so on, into 55 gallon drums, somebody picked it up after awhile for processing into something else.

The stink behind that place was something else, when the drums were full. And flies everywhere.

Ah come on BG you can't have it both ways. First if your neighbor's dog eats salad and gets trapped is there a nice plot in your yard to bury it?? Plus you can release it and I bet it would not enter the trap again, unless it is stupider than most.

Second if you have been to slaughter houses as you intimate then killing rabbits and a small dog should not present much of a problem it would seem to me.

I don't know how things are in Santeeville, but around here killing someone's dog is considered a pretty low act. You'd only do that to somebody you really hated.

I like my neighbor, she's pretty nice, even though her dog is a little pest. I wouldn't put her through the heartbreak of losing a pet.

You've got to maintain certain standards of behavior.

You are correct, sir. However I also said

The black guy was not approaching him after pushing him and did not appear to be a threat, especially with the pistol out. I'd convict the 47 year old white man of manslaughter.

Would you find a jury of 12 who would all convict him of manslaughter? Probably not.

He should not have fired and I think the State Attorney may charge him.

Apparently the shooter was threatening a 31 year old man named Rick Kelly earlier about also parking in the disabled spot. He supposedly threatened to shoot him. Pretty sure the State Attorney will charge him with manslaughter. (Interview film of Kelly shows he is a Black guy too)
He got charged. https://abcnews.go.com/US/shooter-fl...ry?id=57151343
