I've been watching "Breaking Bad" on AMC. Best TV series in a long time.

UK - BBC = Period style 1920's post war criminal gangs in Northern City & not London for a change, also based on a true story.
The corrupt City police get a new head (Sam Neill) & are instructed via Churchill to crush the local mobs...its more like a war story than a crime drama.

Cilian Murphy from 28 Days later & Sam Neill star in it.



3 Episodes in so far & lots of good plot twists. Shaping up to be a good series.

Atlantis-watched that last night, looks good, they've certainly spent money on it and it does photograph well-8.5m tuned in after Strictly Come Dancing which got 9.2m beating that X-Factor rubbish. I also recorded and watched 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D' on Channel 4 but I think you need to have seen the film 'Avengers Assemble'(The Avengers in the US) to understand some of it. For example the character of Phil Coulson and I noticed that they made references to the 'superheroes' of the film but none will appear in this. I looked it up on IMDB.com and it's only four episodes long, a very short series indeed.

GM, you can't rely on IMDb to accurately give the number of future episodes for a TV show. They only list future episodes that they are given information on and networks and production companies don't give out a lot of info on episodes that aren't finished yet. S.H.I.E.L.D. had the usual 13 episode initial order and one of the better premieres of the season so far here in the US, so its likely to get a "back nine" order to fill out the usual US 22 episode season (assuming its ratings don't go into free fall).

It's cucumber time (slow news time?) in the Netherlands so we have to wait for october
for the second season of "once upon the time" and hopefully the third season of " the walking death" Also have i high expectations of the serie "Under the dome"

Yes very true and I suppose you are right about that. I did think it odd that only 4 episodes of this were made, but then sometimes shows can be cancelled and yet other countries like ours will buy up the show, like Charlie's Angels(cancelled after 8 episodes) and another one that escapes me about three women who are recruited to become secret agents-all beautiful and one was taken from a prison because she had 'an attitude problem.' They were trained up and then sent on missions. Now that had some promise, yet it was shown by the old sci-fi channel in the late 2000s here even though in the States it had been cancelled.

Just looked it up in my diary(I was up very early in 2008 due to a problem sleeping I had) it was called SHE SPIES shown at 5am!!

I'd never heard of him before about two weeks ago. But it's a full-length-movie series, similar to Perry Mason. Seen about six so far - easy viewing and not totally stupid. Quite enjoyable, actually

I would suggest drilling a many miles deep hole and dropping your expectations down it to avoid disappointment.

One did not watch She Spies for intelligent or even comprehensible scripts.
