Are search ID's here persistent?

That is, if I include as a link something like this:

. . . how long will this search point to what I was originally looking for?

This question will eventually answer itself -- in days, weeks, months or years-- but if someone knows now, that would be helpful, was thinking about creating a kind of index to the illustrations thread, but don't want to stick in a bunch of links that will die quickly.

IIRC searchid's in that format work for roughly 30 minutes; there's a clever workaround to make searchid's permanent, but i dont remember how its done...

edit; seems the link above lasted for +- 90minutes.. fascinating
