You brought back some memories for me. My first car was in 2008 (bad year to get and maintain a car BTW), I was getting out of high school and going to college (again, bad time) and needed a car. The car I ended up with, with some help from my father, was a 240SX convertible from the 90's. I went on to stay with that, constantly failing, car until I graduated and was steady enough to buy myself a new car. I did miss it when I gave it up though. I have a USB full of old photographs and have many pictures of it. One such picture is below. You'll notice what my political leanings were (at the time) as well. I was so proud of that car, for some reason. Guess since it was my first. But it was in rough shape. The front left hand side had an ugly, visible dent.

My first car was a 1982 Ford Fairmont. This is not my car, but it looks just like it. I don't remember my car ever looking this good, well, as good as a brown car can look. It wasn't a good car, made when quaility was, like, job 12 at Ford. It burned oil like a bitch, idled at 30, the squirters didn't work and had a state-of-the-art mono AM radio (I eventually replaced it with a cassette deck). Despite that, I put well over 80,000 miles on it before I sold it to a junkyard for $50.

My first car was a white 1996 Vauxhall Astra, which my parents brought from a neighbor second-hand.
I am now currently on my fourth car since then. |

Bloody Hell
Here's the Aussie 1982 Fairmont The first car I owned when I first got my license was a 1981 Ford Cortina, complete garbage But the first car I owned was a 1974 Ford XB Falcon, almost standard including the manual gearbox but had the 351 V8... Take the chrome rims off and put the steel factory rims on and it looked a lot like that.
