That Voice
I was home alone this afternoon, had music playing in the background. I listened too my GF's playlist, mostly female performers. Then on came Stevie Nicks singing Landslide, only then did I notice they both have a similar voice, was one of the things that attracted me too my GF. Sometimes it's a females voice that just does that something for ya.....................
Anyway, the point of the thread, which performer and which song has that something in it that makes it whatever it is for ya? For that matter, which female singer has the best voice ? For me, like above Stevie Nicks, Landslide And, though far from a favorite song Wendy Matthews, The Day You Went Away , not really my type of music, there is just something in the voice.

I know exactly what you mean mv. Sometimes a female artist just puts a shiver down your spine. Carol King does it for me:-

Well... i don't choose the women for his voice... ... really think women are more attractive with her mouth full ... and not talking ... But i like a lot of women singing. As spanish singers, maybe Ana Belén. As latin, Gloria Estefan, ... Also Sheena Easton, Dionne Warwick, Whitney Houston, ...
But thing a great great voice is Barbra Streisand (what a shame that nose ) Salut !

Hm... I had to really think about this one. Stevie's a fantastic pick. For me, the voice and the song that always hits me is Sarah McLachlan ~ Possession. It's so atmospheric and sensual. I just try not to think about the subject matter too much. Lol.

Oh, I should add this one, too. The musical style may not be your cup of tea (electro-house, but mellow), but I love the girls voice. The song is Say Hello by Deep Dish.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wT8NO5FDS7E The singer's name is Anousheh Khalili and she's an Iranian-American vocalist. Her voice is so sweet and innocent. Sorry. Probably way too much info, but I'm kind of a music nerd.

Thank You for very nice new thread mvasilj, I`ll definitely check new posts!
For me It´s Irma Thomas singing "Ruler of my heart" (1963), I love her voice and especially this song gives me evry time instatntly some goosebumps. I`m still not sure after many years and hundreds of listens that is it really Irma`s voice or is it that groovy dirty piano that makes it. Well anyway, instead of posting a photo of Irma I post photo of goosebumps, here you go : Almost forgot the song!!! Here, give it a listen::: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYrpRU9k-_s
