Kevin here. Why won't Australia adopt "same sex marriage"? New Zealand does.
More and more nations around the world are accepting "same sex marriage". Since Australia refuses, this indicates to me that Australia is becoming socially backward. You may be advancing technologically, but your social customs are regressing!

G'Day Kev

Why simple, politicians are playing politics with the issue.
They're not actually dealing with the issue itself, they're dealing with how to go about making it law or not, simple as that

It's a conservative government on a federal level with a couple of right wing Christians in the party. They still want Lizzy as the head of state too. God save the queen... and all that shit.

Most people want it but the head in the sand group make the laws so it won't happen for another couple of years.

Question

Hiram Big, son of Mr.Big here. Since I am so rich I was thinking of something fantastic. What if I had built an under the sea tunnel which would connect New Zealand with Australia. I know it sounds ridiculous. New Zealand is 1400 miles from Australia. It is much easier to get from one country to the other by a commercial jet flying at 550 mph. This tunnel would be a lot different than the Chunnel which connects England to the European continent. For one thing I would have bult a mag-lev bullet train which can travel at speeds in excess of 300 mph(483 kph), and there would be tremendous t.v. cameras inside the tunnel that show views of the ocean outside. My late father's construction company "Big Works" which employs 50,000 people could accomplish the construction in only 6 months. Travel would be relatively in-expensive(less than the cost of a commercial jet airline flight) and the train would have luxury accomadations and amenities at low costs. How can I afford this you might ask? Remember my late father was the world's richest man, and I inherited his wealth which is about 4 trillion dollars. Comments, questions?
