Again another point of view other than what has been taught by the West.If you do not agree fine, it would be great if you would post a rebuttal to this video, then & prove beyond a shadow of error that its wrong.IMO, yes the terror of Islam had much to do with the fall of enlightenment & bringing on the dark ages. Its a PC nightmere to this day & age, thats why its not addressed.Conversely this eventually lead to the Europeans to find the New World but it took them 1000 years. If not for this scourge on humanity of Islam, it no doubt would have happened much sooner. If you have an open mind listen for a change.

Videos are not scholarship, and your chronology is simply wrong, by a thousand years. Don't need to watch Youtube to identify the Fall of Rome as 476 AD.

There is abundant scholarship on The Fall of Rome and the barbarian invasions.

The classics are of course, Gibbon's "Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" and Theodore Mommsen's "The History of the Roman Empire".

More modern treatments can be found in the work of contemporary scholars like Peter Brown, Christian Meier, J.S. Wacher.
