The starship that crashed into the outback blasted out a crater that was 2 miles(3.2 kilometers) wide and one half mile(0.8 kilometer) deep. Everything that lived on the land at the time was vaporized. You might think that a starship hitting the Earth at 40 miles(64 kilometers) per second would have been vaporized too, but it wasn't. It was intact at the bottom of the crater. Inside were huge aliens from a very distant part of our universe. Their real name is totally unpronouncable so for reference purposes I will call them: the first race, which is relavant since they are probably the oldest race in the universe. Their civilization has lasted for many millions of years and they are quite peaceful and benevolent. After living for thousands of centuries the first race had discovered all the secrets of the universe. Their starships could traverse the great gulfs between galaxies in just a few days. To look at them humans would be revolted. They had green skin, were about 12 feet(3.65 meters) high and had more than a dozen limbs. They live in a part of the universe that is billions of light years from Earth. The aliens were on a simple survey mission, just going to all the inhabited planets of the thousands of galaxies to look for life of any kind, just for their own amusement. They had finally come to our galaxy "the Milky Way". Their ships are made up of a material that is almost indestructable. It is an alloy of Neutronium(a substance made from neutron stars); protons and neutrons so compacted that just a teaspoon of them would weigh tons. Normally their ships can never wear out and never need repairs, but in this case an errror in navigation caused their ship to collide with a pulsar which caused it to go out of control and head for our planet. The aliens were in a cryogenic sleep which is their preferred method of traveling through space so they were not aware that they had crashed. The incredible impact caused their sleep chambers to be activated and they woke up. Story to continue.
