The thing about crooks is . . . they're crooks.

There are some who style themselves as "men of honor", mafioso and the like, but a white collar guy, he's no made man and he's not going to show any more loyalty to Trump than Trump will show him.

Notably, Trump is missing what the Mafia has -- the ability to punish rats. I wouldn't put it past Trump to want someone to bring him Cohen's nuts on a plate, but Trump just plays a boss on television. He's not Carlo Gambino.

So they'll all flip.

I think Manafort may well be afraid of the Russians, who do have a way of punishing enemies, his silence is much more likely about Moscow than Washington.

If anybody should be shitting their pants about Cohen's guilty plea, it's David Pecker, CEO of AMI which is the parent company of the National Enquirer, and known as Trump's "best buddy". Because all of Cohen's conversations with the NE about covering up Karen McDougal's affair with Trump are now going to come out, and since Cohen was Trump's attorney, not AMI's, all the evidence is admissible.

Maybe his "pecker" is about to go in a "wringer".
