I think that the Page 3 identity is being mixed up here. When you refer to Page 3 it is The Sun and The Star this is attributed to NOT Daily Mirror-their version of Page 3 (i.e. semi covered or topless) came along a lot later in the mid 80s but was dropped soon after that. I suppose you could call Daily/Sunday Sport girls Page 3 because they did feature a lot of The Sun's girls but later it changed, their own girls were added and it took on a more sleazier appearance. Sorry to be pedantic but if you're going to mention the original Page 3 girls this has to be The Sun and later the Daily Star who introduced the colour Starbirds.

Just to be clear though some Sun page 3 girls also posed for the Daily Mirror but not topless at the beginning. Girls might have appeared on their page 3 but weren't considered actual Page 3 girls-if you see what I mean.

Good point, perhaps the title of the thread should be changed. The Mirror's topless version (often not actually on the 3rd page) ran from the mid 70's to 1980 and it would cause an artificial distinction not to include the pics on this thread - there were examples of pics from the same session appearing in both papers.

Hmm okay that is topless in the Mirror but as you said above it wasn't always on Page 3. Mireille was also a 'secretary' hostess in the orignal series of ITV quiz show 3-2-1 in the late 70s and I think she was in the sex comedy 'Come Play With Me' with Mary Millington and others.
