I wonder what effect it has on slef-esteem in men as well as female expectations? I don't think penis size has increased dramatically, it only increased in tune with the general increase in size of people.
The reason that you may currently see more large ones than in the past is probably due to the availability of performance enhancing drugs.

If anything, it adds a reality check to the film, the feeling that you could actually be there as well. Some of those guys in the modern stuff are so unnaturally large and hard that you lose that connection, that it could be you in there.
