I only got wind of it when i clicked on whats new in this update - which revealed no less than 3 unresolved issues with an update 2/3 versions back

I started looking and came across more than i bargained for

That depends on how you unzip them, i guess?

With WinRAR it will unzip in the folder where the zip is located unless you tell it to do otherwise.

Another thing I hate is when I go to a store and find they have stopped selling a product that they used to sell for years, and when I inquire about it, they don't say "I don't know" Instead they lie and say "Oh, well this product has been discontinued" which is never true. When I get home I go to the company website and find out that the product is still being manufactured, and they have a list of which stores in my area sell that product. Our stupid American consumer oriented economy is so competitive that store owners or mangers are deathly afraid that if they say "I don't know" to a customer, that customer may stop coming to that store and go somewhere else. That's nonsense , because customers do that anyway. There is no store that is so big that it sells every brand of every product made. I myself go to three different supermarkets for my food shopping.

I hate it when a manufacturer stops providing spare parts for their discontinued products after what seems like a very short period. I've had this with a car, a kettle and a vacuum cleaner. I actually managed to fix the last two by making replacement parts!

I was also somewhat pissed off when I went to Staples to buy some refills for my Parker fibre tip pen, only to discover that they decided to stop making them and there were no more refills. I liked this pen a lot. I could say it put me off Parker, but it seems the company now owns most of the pen brands like Paper Mate, Rotring, Waterman, etc and Parker is apparently a division of Gillette! So whatever you buy is probably tarnished with the same attitude towards the customer.
