Truly insane.

Trump has praised Erdogan, but given Trump's limited capacity, not sure that he remembers who he is at this point . . .

Sure you are having trouble with the mass of scandals. :head-shaking.

I'm having no verified information, but I think he is still in the US and not in Turkey. Looks like it were the preparations for that kidnapping.

By the Bundesnachrichtendienst the Gülen movement wasn't involved in the military coup and it isn't any kind of a terror group or criminal group. It's a "movement of religious and secular further education".

I say, it was Erdogan pardon, Erdowahn himself who did the coup.

I have to edit to the first part of my reasons:
- he travelled with a normal airliner back to Ankara ! .LOL:
- before the travel he gave the next TV station an appeal to his "fans" to resist the military coup.
- he said something like: "that's great for us !"

Oh, yes, he remains in Pennsylvania. This was a plot, not carried out. Flynn was paid by Turkish interests to try to get him delivered to Turkey, but it didn't happen. What's insane is that Flynn didn't understand how ridiculously illegal it was, and didn't understand that any attempt to do anything so criminal would explode and leave everyone covered in crap. Flynn is reckless, and stupid, and greedy . . . I think he just saw money.

Gulen is a permanent resident of the United States ("green card") -- that basically gives him most of the rights of a citizen, except being able to vote. It means that the US courts would be very critical of any attempt to extradite him, and that's why this insane kidnapping idea came up.

Default Hillary Clinton condemns longtime Democratic donor Harvey Weinstein

Washington (CNN) Hillary Clinton condemned disgraced Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein on Tuesday, marking her first public comments on the matter since reports of his alleged predatory behavior broke five days ago.
"I was shocked and appalled by the revelations about Harvey Weinstein," Clinton said in a statement through her spokesman Nick Merrill. "The behavior described by women coming forward cannot be tolerated. Their courage and the support of others is critical in helping to stop this kind of behavior."

Weinstein is a longtime associate of the Clintons and a major Democratic Party donor who bundled funds for the party's political campaigns, including supporting both of Clinton's presidential bids.

Clinton's statement makes no mention of Weinstein's sizable donations to her own war chest.

The allegations against Weinstein have renewed a debate about sexual harassment in the workplace and drawn attention to Clinton, the Democrats' 2016 standard-bearer who made the treatment of women a key plank of her presidential campaign.

Actually I think my post should have read "Hillary Clinton FINALLY condemns longtime Democratic donor Harvey Weinstein" - judging by the length of time it took her to respond.

God, how I am loving this. They tried to bring Trump down with the Access Hollywood tape and it bounces right off of him. Then one of their own turns out to be a douchebag and shows them for the hypocrites that they really are.

Let's see: Is Harvey Weinstein President?

No, that would be President Pussygrabber.

The cranky right voted for Trump knowing that he was a monster, in fact, they _enjoy_ that he's a monster.

Weinstein -- if he's done what's alleged, and that's an "if"-- is a bad guy.

A bad guy who no one has elected President of anything, and who's been fired by the company with his own name on it.

Meanwhile, "Trumpeteers" are still lionizing their dotard . . .

Google uncovered Russia-backed ads on YouTube, Gmail

Quote:
Google has discovered Russian operatives spent tens of thousands of dollars on ads on its YouTube, Gmail and Google Search products in an effort to meddle in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, a person briefed on the company’s probe told Reuters on Monday.
Quote:
Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O) said separately on Monday that it was looking at whether Russians bought U.S. election ads on its Bing search engine or other Microsoft-owned products and platforms. A spokeswoman for the company declined to comment further.
Quote:
A study published on Monday by researchers with the Oxford Internet Institute, which is affiliated with the British university, found that current U.S. military personnel and veterans were targeted by disinformation campaigns on Twitter and Facebook over the past year by a nexus of pro-Kremlin, Russian-oriented sites, along with conspiracy theorists and European right-wing ideologues.
Quote:
Both Republican and Democratic lawmakers have said Russia intended to sow discord in the United States, spread propaganda and sway the election. “If Vladimir Putin is using Facebook or Google or Twitter to, in effect, destroy our democracy, the American people should know about it,” Senator Richard Blumenthal said Monday on MSNBC.

I'm no fan of the Donald, but I agree with LadyLuck. While the great and good celebs were taking verbal potshots at President Pussygrabber (great name, btw...) during this year's Oscars, Emmys and any award ceremony worth its salt with a TV camera present, it turns out that one of those very celebs in their midst was apparently following Trump's "principle" with impunity (until now):

When you are a star, you can do anything.

And the Weinstein affair continues to make ripples...

Ben Affleck apologises for 'groping' MTV host Hilarie Burton

Actor Ben Affleck has apologised after being criticised for groping an MTV presenter on air in 2003.

The incident surfaced after he posted condemnation of Harvey Weinstein, who is facing sexual assault allegations.

One Twitter user remembered how Affleck "grabbed Hilarie Burton's breasts on TRL once" but "everyone forgot though". Burton replied: "I didn't forget."

Affleck later wrote on Twitter: "I acted inappropriately toward Ms Burton and I sincerely apologise."

That's fucking bullshit.
There isn't a single shred of evidence that Trump has done anything monstrous or comparable to Harvey.
On the tape he wasn't talking about grabbing or molesting any random woman on the street or women he is in business with or women he has power over. He was talking about models & gold diggers who intentionally cozy up to rich people and instigate or allow them to do any flirtatious or sexual thing they want to them.

I supported Trump because I haven't seen a single hint that Hillary "what difference does it make" Clinton gives a shit about human life. Trump I think does.
And misconstrue & lie about his statements on rapist coming from Mexico all you want not that nor anything else he has EVER said is as racist as Hillary's Super Predators line nor would him shutting the border & banning certain Muslim counties harm Latin Americans or Muslims half as much as Bill's crime & drug laws hurt black people.

"The IS is under the leadership of the US": Turkish media is presenting a conspiracy to the US ambassador
HuffPost | by Lennart Pfahler & Meltem Yurt

Turkish media have launched an aggressive campaign against US Ambassador John Bass

They claim that Bass threatened Turkey with attacks by the so-called Islamic State

It is a historical low point in the relations between Turkey and the USA. In the visa crisis, the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan (Erdowahn), has once again sharply attacked the Americans.

The focus of the conflict is a man: John Bass, the outgoing US ambassador in Ankara.

On Thursday, Erdogan told the US government in a speech before governors to sacrifice the strategic partnership with Turkey for a "cheeky ambassador".

The Turkish press also shot on Bass on Thursday, which the AKP leadership is responsible for the escalation.

The background: On Sunday, the US suspended the issue of visas in its representations in Turkey indefinitely. The background is the imprisonment of a Turkish employee of the US Consulate in Istanbul last week.

However, the media campaign, which the media close to the government in Turkey now against the US lost, went much further than the mutual reproaches so far.

"The US control the IS"
The conservative newspaper "Takvim" accused Bass of having threatened Turkey with IS attacks. Bass told journalists that the country had to thank the US that the terrorist had not committed any attacks in the past nine and a half months.

"This is no proof that the IS gave up, but the result of our cooperation," Bass said. What he meant: US support for the government in Ankara has so far deterted the IS.

The ACP-near newspaper "Aksam" claimed that Bass had admitted that the US would control the IS: "The IS has acted under the leadership of the United States." Bass threatens between the lines with new terrorist attacks in Turkey.
