Today's drink is from my favorite beer brewery:Weihenstephaner in Germany: The one today is called Weihenstephaner Korbinian Dunkles Starkbier a full bodied dark doppelbock with an alcohol content of 7.4%. Pours a dark brown with a light brown head. So smooth going down. Tastes of chocolate, toffee, nuts,plums and figs and of course roasted malt. This beer goes with anything, salty snacks, meat, fish or poultry. Exceptionally outstanding overall!

But a great atmosphere in the pub, served by delightful young lady and a nice stroll home under starry skies.

An interesting Aussie red called "The Full 15" and I'll let you guess its alcohol percentage!! Very straightforward these Aussies!!!

Today's drink is from England: Wychwood Hobgoblin-Dark English Ale. Pours a reddish copper color with a two finger long lasting head. Alcohol content 5.2%. Tastes of malt sweetness, chocolate and coffee. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Very good overall.

Every Thursday, I organize a "Safety Meeting" with the fellas. Four or five guys cracking wise, drinking slightly too much, and eating yummy bar food. It really is a little slice of heaven. Drinking with your buddies, well, it's a form of riches that not everyone has. We move it around a little, seeking the bar that can pull a hat trick: Great reasonably priced food, cheap happy hour drinks, and smoking hot babes to bring us stuff. So far, it's really only two outta three, so depending on what we are in the mood for, we choose accordingly. Here in Seattle, there's no lack of watering holes.

As far as my drink of choice, for about the last 7 years I've been fond of Bourbon and ginger. Either ginger ale or ginger beer, NOT that bar crap they make with bitters.

It feels like something Dean Martin would drink. It's been my drink of choice since I had my first one, and I've persuaded others to see the (brown) light.

For most of my life, I've been a beer or scotch guy. Earlier more beer. As I've grown into my geezer grey hair status, I'm more the Scotch/brown liquor guy.

I toast you all, VEF members. Drinking is one of the better parts about adulting, and laughing with a beverage in your hand is good times.

A choice tonight. The missus gone out with Mum to a dreadful Middle of the Road concert, so I crack a few and be rendered "incapable" for later, or stick to the soft stuff and get laid when she gets home........
