The world record price for a ram was AU$450,000 for JC&S Lustre 53, which sold at the 1988 Merino ram sale at Adelaide, South Australia. In 2008, an Australian Merino ewe was sold for AU$14,000 at the Sheep Show and auction held at Dubbo, New South Wales.

I thought I read some guy went to jail for downloading Simpson's porn. Going to jail for x-rated cartoons seems pretty loony to me. Maybe I got the story wrong. Didn't know you could see full nudity on television. I'm confused but that's normal for me.

I only had a couple of dozen, as cropping and livestock tend not to mix. Although sheep would probably disagree.
I had one that went feral around taildocking time and consequently bought much less at the saleyard (amid much tut-tutting ), than his brothers. He was still perfectly healthy though.
(They dock the tails and shear their crutches so they don't get fly-blown.)
Thankfully i have no experience at all with the latter.

The mongel variety i had tend to shed their fleece, if not shorn annually.
Although there are Merinos on the Eastern side of the state where i live it tends to be too wet in the West, where i am and Merinos are prone to footrot, or so i was told.
