I went to an AIDS Project LA benefit show back in the 90s. I went to see Garth Brooks who was scheduled along with a number of other artists. As it turned out Garth did 1 song with an acoustic guitar accompanied by a singer/song writer. They performed a song I had never heard before and it was very disappointing. The show on a whole however was awesome! You know it is going to be a wild show when a 7 foot tall black transvestite, Rue Paul, starts the show singing Dude Looks Like A Lady. I don't recall much about the rest of the show until George Michaels was doing his last song "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me". Just like they recorded it when George got to that bridge he introduced Elton and the place went crazy. They finished the song and Elton played 3 or 4 more songs by himself. it was a fun night

Writing this post has reminded me of another time I saw Elton do a duet. It was at the American Music Awards and Elton sang Tiny Dancer with Tim McGraw who had recorded a cover of it. Another fun night.
