What speeds do you get for free-DLs? - Page 3

For me depositfiles via Firefox - 200 kb/s, via download manager - 400 kb/s (also use uBlock).
Filejoker via Firefox - 50 kb/s, k2s - 150 kb/s

50k, but it usually crashes. Absolute crap.
I don't bother downloading anything from there anymore.
The real jokers are the members who use this.

Filejoker is one of shittiest hosts...
Also pure bullshit is filefox (new filejoker project).
One cash poster likes post on filefox 3-4GB files as one with download time 25-30 hrs...

depositfiles 150-280kb/s,1fichier 500-1000kb/s ,shareonline 30-70kb/s,upstore.re 70kb/s totaly useless ... most of file host are for me dif. to use

i concure ... filefactory is the fastest ... keepshare ... deposit files ... and rapidgator have become painfully slow ....

Mega NZ & 1fichier are the only ones that get into the 500kb-2mb download speed range for free users in my humble experience

We can waffle on for ever in day but the hosts that handle the bulk of the uploads you mention are never going to match those speeds

Megaupload , Rapidshare & Mediafire were the only other hosts that gave ridiculously fast speeds to free users - which included up to 4 parrallel downloads on all at certain stages

Why? they were under pinned by a huge number of mainstream premium users - numbers that have never been seen since the 2012 Megaupload take down on hosts of that ilk.

Most I suspect went to drop box and the like

The one exception speed wise is finding files on a filefactory premium account that has
Free 100GB TrafficShare - usually at the start of each month

Just attempted a D/L from upstore. Firefox reported a speed of 15K !! Forget it.
Could be the time of day, but 15h for a 700mb file! (which incidentally the poster
had split into 5 parts, even though the max size for free Downloads is 2Gb).

Keep2shit is always about 30k... then it pushes you back 2 hours before a consecutive d/l. It wouldn't be so bad if EVERYBODY didn't use it. D/L's I put into the JDownloader cue today I might see in about 3 or 4 days. It's crap.

Several factors are in play

Mega has bandwidth limitations on free accounts
- how they exactly work is anyones best guess?

Looking back to megaupload they used to use some algorithymn that could recognise the same file being uploaded so no 2 identical files were ever on their servers.

1fichier basically killed off a huge amount of content when they temporarily lost the credit card facility..They were at 65% and now their at 15% plus they kill inactive free content at 15 days...Others are at least 30 days after last download.

I've said it forever in a day but no 2 hosts are the same

Do your research - for mine that starts with a free account and a few files

Over time you come to see how good , bad & indiferent hosts are from each other

No substitute for experiencing it yourself
