It may look like Blatter is arrogant and untouchable, but I reckon he has little choice. If he resigns or loses the election the knives are going to be out for him big time, as well as all his cronies.
It's time to dump FIFA and set up a rival organisation. Blatter can keep FIFA and wait for the knock on the door.

Russia disgusts me ,I say this as they support Sepptic ,the English bid was honest ,and the English press were at the vanguard of this corruption ...now you know while they where in charge you would never get the world cup.
Cut off the money and they will fall,Visa's response is encouraging ,this is the only way you eliminate corruption ..if there is no corporate sponsorship there aint no junkets ,freebies and kickbacks ..its really up to visa ,coca cola ,and mcdonalds now

The principal sponsors of FIFA are Adidas, Visa, Coca-Cola, Hyundai, Budweiser and Gazprom. If you're planning to buy sports equipment, make the effort to buy Nike, Puma or one of the other brands. If you want a fizzy drink, buy something from Pepsi. If you want a beer, buy something other than Bud. etc. By us consumers making a conscious decision to avoid products from companies that sponsor organisations that we consider undesirable, we can all make the sort of statement that these businesses cannot possibly ignore. .

I long suspected that Havelange and Samaranch(Olympic chief) were a bunch of crooks, there were some dodgy decisions made that allowed countries to be hosts of both World Cups and Olympics that weren't given a chance by others. I fear that Blatter will kill this sport slowly and what we should do is boycott various events along with other European countries' representatives of FIFA. That would really shake things up.
Today is the 30th Anniversary of the Heysel Stadium disaster when both Liverpool and Juventus fans lost their lives as a wall collapsed following rioting on the terraces. It seems to have been largely ignored or forgotten and should be commemorated in some way. This of course led to English clubs being banned from European competition which meant in 1988 Wimbledon, who sensationally beat Liverpool in the FA Cup Final never got to play in a European competition. I well remember that evening. My sister, mother and friends went round the corner to a pub for a hen night, whilst I watched the match. I am pretty certain I saw a Juventus fan with a hand gun yet that wasn't reported and Liverpool fans disgraced themselves before the wall collapsed. I also remember Phil Neal, the then captain appealing to the fans for calm over a microphone in the stadium. The 80s saw some awful scenes in football thanks to the hooligan elements of clubs and English fans abroad but Heysel, the Bradford City fire and Hillsborough tragedy were the worst disasters of them all.

Well, it seems that the shyster in chief Blatter has been re-elected as President of FIFA - It's now time for every national association with any integrity to leave the organisation. Perhaps, that is asking too much, but I sincerely hope UEFA boycott the world cup, then Blatter and an unreformed FIFA are finished.

Prince Ali pulled out, he had no choice as Blatter was only 7 votes short and it was no point in continuing. So another 4 years but there is going to be hell to pay for him and FIFA. For one thing, David Gill won't take up his seat on FIFA's board from England, and Michel Platini will also have to think long and hard about what UEFA do next, including the possibility of pulling out countries from the next World Cup. Sponsors have also mentioned a re-think in association with FIFA. Forget El Nino, this is going to cause more waves than that.

Sickening to see that human oilslick Blatter with his arms up celebrating the fact that bribing the African countries has helped him back on the throne. The only consolation is that he probably won't be there for much longer.
