Bewitched was one of my favourite TV shows and Samantha was my first crush but it wasn't till years later I realised how beautiful Elizabeth Montgomery really was. I always preferred short hair and nobody could match Susannah - a fine actress and 2 of her films stand out : The killing of Sister George which made aware of lesbians and They Shoot Horses Don't They
Sidney Poiter was a favourite actor so when I first saw To Sir with Love I didn't notice that these two were in it. In recent showing I only saw Lulu & Judy and kind of ignored Sidney - how times change your perspective. I used to watch Lulu on Saturday nights and there is no better wearer of hot pants. 1968 Elizabeth Montgomery Susannah York 1969 Lulu Judy Geeson |

1971 was the year I became aware of these two who remain my ultimate fantasy pairing. I had a poster of Julie from Every Home Should Have One on my wall as a teenager. What can you say about Maddy except perfection. So it no surprise that Up Pompeii should remain one of favourite films ever. Yes the story line is crass, yes the jokes are obvious but who cares when you have Julie & Maddy baring flesh.

Around this time I remember seeing a photo of Paul & Linda and their Old English Sheepdogs and how he was coping with the demise of the Beatles so when we came to get a dog we got an OES. I have lost count of how many reinventions Cher has had but to have her & Linda together would be fanatastic and Linda could photograph it as well.
Of all the assistants in all the game shows on TV there is only one winner and that is the Golden Shots Anne Aston. It is a pity that there are so few pictures of her on the net. Around this time I used to watch Poldark and couldn't stand the programme but one actress made it unmissable and that was Angharad Rees. A blonde & and a redhead well that's a winning combination. Then came the film that changed everything. Emmanuelle. I remember seeing Sylvia & Laura on screen and wishing I could be the meat their sandwich. I still do. 1972 Linda McCartney Cher 1973 Anne Aston Angharad Rees 1974 Sylvia Kristel Laura Gemser |

The mid seventies and early eighties were the golden years of the top shelf magazines. I include a couple of my favourites here although I was spoilt for choice.
I still think Rock Follies was one of the best TV series. There was a song about the Silver jubillee which is just as relevant today. I thought about coupling Julie Covington with her other RF star Rula Lenska but in the end I think her and Debbie Harry would be an amazing duo. 1975 Bonnie Dee Carolyn Patsis 1976 Julie Covington Debbie Harry |

Musically you cannot beat the voice of Emmylou Harris and I always envied Governor Jerry Brown of California having a beautiful rock star like Linda as his partner. If I was being greedy I would squeeze in Dolly Parton and the 3 of them together make wonderful music.

Speaking of great music everybody's fantasy girls in the 70s has to be Abba. That reminds of one of their songs - Summer Night City which is actually about Stockholm but I always associate it with Ibiza and with other German soft porn films of the period starring actresses like Betty Verges & Uschi Zech. Looks like they started without me.

It time for a couple of dark haired beauties and I can imagine how sexy Diana & Cheri would be together.
I am not normally a fan of Bruce Willis but Bonnie Bedelia certainly made Die Hard worth watching. If I ever need a TV lawyer then it has to be Gretchen because how she kept Rockford out of jail I don't know. Just charm I suppose. I have always fancied Elkie Brooks and her powerful voice and as for Donna she just oozes sex. The combination of power & guile would be classic. 1980 Diana Quick Cheri Lunghie 1981 Bonnie Bedelia Gretchen Corbett 1982 Elkie Brooks Donna Summer |

1983 was a bad year for the UK & me so here are a couple of distractions.
With the Olympics in London in a few weeks time I thought back to the LA games. 2 of the best and best looking Great British athletes of all time. Kim Cattrall may be a well known actress (& MILF) from Sex In the City series nowadays but in the mid eighties she initially starred in Porky's along with Kaki Hunter who was a real loss when she gave up acting so young. 1983 Elvira Beverley D'Angelo 1984 Judy Simpson Kathy Cook 1985 Kim Cattrall Kaki Hunter |
