I was making a joke effCup. And what I meant about a cosmic event is some unusual condition in space, a spraying of some type of radiation that might make all that buried uranium change into fissionable uranium that would then explode like in a science fiction movie!

One day the sun will explode and wipe out the entire solar system, including Australia. That's no movie. Was it funny?

Successful jokes (& fiction) require suspended disbelief, however temporary. Science fiction is one such attempt.
