War Thunder (the game)

Hi Guys,

Don't waste your money on this crap. Yes, it's a 'free' game but you get the option to upgrade vehicles and buy premium vehicles.

The graphics are very good and gameplay is involving and addictive, the downside is a magnet for cheaters, the game is near impossible to play at times and very difficult at others. This used to be a great game, win a few, lose a few, nice close matches. These days it's lose 95%+ of the games (in arcade mode) and suffer crushing defeats at that.

Here's an example, played 15 games tonight, each one a crushing defeat.
I only play tanks, all my tanks are killed with first shot that hits them, I can pound an enemy tank and do no damage, the same tank will kill mine with it's first shot. I'm not a 'newbie' to this game, I've been playing for over two years now.

You might pose the question 'are you a crap player?' quite possibly, but I used to be quite good, and even if I am crap, what about the rest of the teams that get crushed along with me, are they all 'crap' too?

In the first few months of playing, I shelled out some of my hard-earned to buy some premium vehicles and upgrade my account, money that I now regret wasting.

So my advice is, play the game by all means but don't squander your money on it, in fact, I'm so pissed off with all the cheating that I'm not going to use my account anymore, this crap has been going on for over a year and it's ruining the game, so based on this I will give my account to someone who wants to try the game with a few premium tanks.

If one of you guys wants my account you are welcome to it, but I will only give my account to an established member with a minimum post count of 300 posts.
You will have the option to change your username and email address for a small fee (not sure how much, but it is only a small fee) I will give my account to you on the understanding that you change the detail.

Just PM me for the account details and you can put up with the cheating crap!

I might not be back on site for a few days, but I will deal with your request ASAP.

I deleted it about six months ago off of ps-4.There are hackers there but mostly it's the developers,they match you with players you can't beat in matches you can't win hoping you'll get pissed off and spend more money for better stuff and you will do better for a few matches till it goes back to the way it was.The developers are like the ring tossers at the fair,everything is designed to get you to spend money.I'm playing World of Tanks now and it's set up the same way but you can progress and buy tanks it's just very slow and takes a lot of playing,War Thunder made no difference how well I played from level five up I was in the red after every match.I've read on some of the forums people were complaining they weren't being treated fair and felt they should be because they claim to have spent thousands on the game and I'm sure there are plenty of kids with their mothers or grandmothers credit card that have spent hundreds.Anyone that knows of kids playing these types of games should watch them to make sure they don't,they are just as much of rip off's as the county fair.

Pretty much as I see it. These games are so clearly rigged it's untrue but they sure as hell don't like you mentioning it on their forum!

I've kept a note of success, I've been on just TWO winning teams in the past 63 games i've played, the same script in every game, my tanks have paper armour and rubber ammo.

Well Gajin have shot themselves in the foot, I will not waste another penny.
If the game was fair and balanced as it used to be then I would spend on further upgrades.

I wonder if there is a way to find out just how much money they have made,I'll bet it would amaze us.Sadly it appears all games are going that way,money money and more money.

I've wondered about that too. It's a very clever setup compared to commercial games, with the regular commercial game you pay for it and that's it. Don't want to play on line? No problem, switch to single player mode. Getter the crap shot out of you most of the time? drop the difficulty level down to a suitable one.

I just wish a commercial game similar to WT was available, I've tried WOT and was not overly impressed with it.

My offer of a free WT account still stands!

WoT does have single player tanks where WT doesn't and that's what I mostly play.Multiplayer is about as bad as WT.I've spent about thirty dollars on a gold pack so I could buy a premium Sherman and don't regret it,it's a pretty good tank.I spent around one hundred dollars on WT and wished I hadn't.I probably won't spend any more on WoT as I still have around 4500 of gold left and will use it very sparingly.I can tell you that up to level 5 tanks you can still make money because I only have one level six tank,an M6 and it is quite a bit more costly to play it.They are both Russian developers I think and I wouldn't be surprised if they were the same people or companies.

I've been having a very good run and full upgrades to a P-51, P-38 E and got a P-51 N in the past two days. Haven't parted with any coin to do so.

I've been avoiding tanks so some time now. They are very frustrating. But they seem more concerned about naval battles now. I'll be happy in planes until I get bored with it.

Keyboard and mouse atm. I'm only messing around in arcade but I do have Saitek X-52 pro HOTAS. It's brilliant in Rise of Flight but yet to try it in War Thunder.

I like what they have done though allowing keyboard and mouse. It makes it accessible right off the bat. Yes there are far better flight sims about but I find this some mindless fun.
