Signals Women Send

I think we can all agree that women are mysterious creatures, beyond our poor powers of understanding. But sometimes, I think, they send signals in various ways. Long ago I read that in certain Pacific Island cultures the wearing of a flower behind one ear or the other signaled something.

Ages ago when I was much, much younger and thought about such things, I met a young lady at a party in the middle-1960s who was dressed like the young lady below. After we had sex a few times, she asked me what I first noticed about her. I told her, and she explained to clueless me that those were her "get laid jeans", and they were a signal. I noticed a number of other young ladies during the next couple of years, and found that what she told me was true. After that the style seemed to disappear.

Have any of you noticed anything similar?

There's a girl who I see walking around 'town' occcasionally, She sends me pretty clear signals.

Ever heard the phrase 'looking daggers' at someone?

Well, when she sees me, she seems to be 'Looking large hunting knife with slightly blunted, serratted edges that have been coated in slow-acting poison, in the hope that I'll die a slow, agonizing death' at me.

I'm with Steve Martin - I had a friend's wife tell me she dropped a thousand hints about getting me interested, but I had no clue.

She's more of a 'never will be'.

You'd think she'd take me tripping over my tongue

when I see her as a compliment, but noooo, whoever does that has be of her standard, not mine.

The older you get, the less shit you put up with and both sexes can't be arsed with playing that game. Be blunt and honest what you are after and you get there quicker.

Ps. In my youth I was good with the ladies but lost it and become rather oblivious to everything for a while.

It's been so long since I've seen these signals you refer to that I likely wouldn't even recognize them or fear that I'd misinterpret an innocuous signal or face rejection, that I wouldn't act.

I have observed something about blonde women and/or their larger boobs: When you compare the two nicest, friendliest, curviest, and most model-quality girls of my '90s life, to about five brunette or fake-redhead girls of similar age and education, you should be able to immediately see something that took me until the 2000s to understand:

Blue eyes, blonde hair, and C/D/DD+ bra sizes are the most straightforward signals you can ever experience from a female. The darker-haired girls were all flatter-chested, never much talked to me first in a conversation, never physically approached first or touched me first, and never really created any type of sexual feeling in me.

By contrast, the first blonde girl (a naturally-blonde girl with B/C cup size) resembled Karen Mulder in 10th grade, and the second blonde girl (a darker shade of blonde with D/DD cup size) resembled certain Playmates I have since seen photos of. Unfortunately, the first girl broke off our relationship, and the second girl usually had a boyfriend who she was going steady with. I could never quite get into a relationship with her, and I never saw her again.

So save yourself some trouble, gentlemen, and Prefer Blondes as much as you want. Not only will you get farther with them, have you ever noticed that there are no blonde feminists?! [Hillary is just an outlier...]

The usual ones (clothing, tattoos, things they say), Yes. But a great signal I got once, was a simple flower. I had had one or two dates with this very nice girl, and I told her I was flying back in to town. She said she wanted to meet me at the airport gate (you could do that, back then!), and she did. And as I came off the plane, she gave me a flower and a hug. That was her signal that she'd be happy to be my girlfriend. I took her up on that signal, and we've been married for almost 30 years now!
