I wanted to share a couple of songs from the Stan Kenton Orchestra...
This one is called "The Blues Story" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kvu1NCaLD4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83p5Eklyoi4 I found 2 links. The second link is a live version. In the event the y t links don't work, the song is available on Spotify on the album "Adventures in Blues" This one is called "Blues in Burlesque" I saw a video of Miss Scarlet James doing a Burlesque number to this one. It is a two part song - disregard the second half. Really hope this one works... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJLDGyoIl4k Last edited by Estreeter; January 29th, 2017 at 07:45 AM.. Almost forgot I had this one...
This is a video from Chris Tedesco & the Angel City Horns. It is a practice session for the "Burlesque" movie soundtrack. So, no vocals by Christina - just the background music - it's really good. Really hope this link works for everyone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKq-rulZln8 |

That's an instrumental version of "Guy what takes his time", originally sung by Mae West. I have an absolutely filthy version of that which I grabbed from a video which had Dita Von Teese either singing or miming to it. Its one of the few tracks with vocals that does the trick for me Its been pulled from YT and the only version I can find is on a host which isn't approved by VEF. It was originally released on Dita's "Soundtrack for Seduction" which was seemingly only given a limited release on vinyl. I can't find it on Amazon as a digital version. |

I posted on another Stan Kenton tune which although completely discordant in places was still the basis for a striptease. I am pretty sure it is still here so you may have to look back in the thread for it.

Okay this might be a first but I am prepared to acknowledge that Mr.A's music would be better suited for the teasing of burlesque and NOT a full striptease. I put some of it up against a stripping Catherine D'Lish(a well-known burlesque artiste) and seeing as the original soundtrack had the sort of bump & grind thing normally associated with it, it fitted well. Catherine unusually goes completely naked(except for a feather boa and shoes) and is outstanding. I cannot remember where I got the video from but she is a great exponent of it. Not going to make a regular habit of this though I also heard some people have sex to burlesque music-fair enough, but with Mr A's stuff you'd be knackered after 5mins and probably 'empty'

Interesting theory...
The thought of people have sex to burlesque / classic striptease music is probably quite true. It's the next step from "using" the music, as Stroking_it so eloquently puts it. I imagine it happens more than we realize... Now, having sex and listening to Mr. Anthony's "St. Louis Blues" at the same time - would be a short and sweet event, for sure! |

Thanks for the Mae West mention... Didn't realize Christina was actually doing a remake. Almost any of Mae's versions are much better. It did the trick for me, also. Last edited by giveittome; January 31st, 2017 at 12:48 PM.. Reason: spelling errors |

To celebrate my 10th anniversary on this forum-yeah I know I can't believe it either, I am reposting some videoclips that appear to be missing or lost links. The first of which is one of three Sharon Kayne videos. Enjoy
Pic preview: Duration: 5m 12s Size: 27MB Format: WMV Link: http://www.mediafire.com/file/coek89...5pt/sk-hs1.avi Note: The original soundtrack was some foreign bird doing a kind of Je Taime and it was awful. This one replacing it is Night Train by Ray Anthony.

Got my fingers crossed again...
For those of you that enjoyed the James Morrison tune "The Call", I found another arrangement. On this one, James plays with Big Band Liechtenstein, celebrating their 30th anniversary. Enjoy... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ubVOUUsUtA |
