Member name is underlined with red

It's never the same tho Luc,

e.g.
I hover over thanks given, by slisse at post #8 and it 'red underlines'
but thanks given at other posts by slisse, and it does not

refresh the page and it is random again, just tried it & got Mals name to 'Red Underline' again too

I tried a series of 'page refreshes' after I'd taken a grab, it doesn't happen over the same names
Scrolling the page doesn't stop the red underline from hanging either.

At the risk of stating the obvious, the second group are those whose names are presented in ordinary text, without any bold or colour additions. I heard through the grapevine,that if a member's name is underlined in red,it's not a good thing.

The simple fact of the matter is, that you shouldn't worry about ever

No, neither if I hover over it nor when the underline hangs-on


OK lets recap,

Sometimes there's a 'red underline' when a thread opens when you didn't even hover over it with the mouse - that is why I empathised & partly understood the threads OP
It's most likely because names are hyperlinks - Yes?

It isn't consistent, a page refresh allows different names to underline and some do not - always random

The same members name might 'underline red' at one post but not many others

it took me about 20 page refreshes and all the twatery that goes with it to get the several screenshot examples to hang & take the grabs

I mentioned sometimes the Whole name does not 'red underline'
but it rarely hangs for me to get a screengrab of that

but I finally got a grab to example it does happen

It is a addon problem, I have something similar on another forum with chrome, I removed all addons and the problem has gone...

Actually the original reference about red being a bad sign relates to the blocks under the word posts not the user name underline colour.

Most of us have it coloured green

Those who stray into the red zone and keep persisting in making work for the mods to clean-up get banned if they dont at least show their trying to change their ways.

Hence why their are very few with read coloured blocks to be found alive on VEF
