Bomber Harris
I totally agree First Blood , is an amazing film saw it on VHS and loved every minute of it =
This is a great BBC Film Documentary Film by the BBC about Bomber Harris starring the great , late John Thaw ( The Sweeney , Inspector Morse ) This was simply wonderful , after re-watching it after all these years ( it was in 1989 when it first came out ) Note that only in 1992, eight years after his death, was a monument to Sir Arthur 'Bomber' Harris (1892-1984) was erected in central London, forty-five years after the ending of WWII; these dates give a clear insight into how this, perhaps the most controversial allied officer of WWII, was partially shunned by the establishment after the war. John Thaw is excellent portraying this complex and some say, difficult, character through the most challenging decisions of the war. Heavy bombing became possible after the development of large bombers but the difficulty of accurate bombing, often under intense fire, was highlighted by reports and reconnaissance. Still highly contentious, John Thaw creates the highly decorated officer well and also the man behind the uniform. |

– Pioneer ( 2016 ) Chinese War Film The film led by the leadership of Guizhou Province in 1964 to Beijing to ask Chairman Mao inscribed “Zunyi meeting site” when Chairman Mao recalled Zunyi because of inaccurate information led to the defeat of the Tucheng campaign to form the story of the Red Army intelligence advance team, mainly about the Red Army advance The small unit to overcome difficulties, and the enemy wits and eventually to the weak force of the Red Army to obtain valuable information and time to win the victory of Loushanguan reversal of the Red Army in the passive situation everywhere shocking story. Actually a well-made war Film , comparable to the VERY best of Hollywood - frankly , I am have found that South Korean , Japanese and Chinese War Film's have a great deal of quality and a high standard of realism - and this is recommended |

Wax or the Discovery of Television Among the Bees (1991)
Computer programmer/beekeeper Jacob Maker (David Blair) gets a "television" implanted in his brain by a race of telekinetic bees. The television's supernatural powers cause him to experience severe hallucinations and alternate realities. He discovers souls in weapons, visits the land of the dead on the Moon, communicates with a race of Mesopotamian bees, finds the Tower of Babel and other crazy shit. This is a trippy one. Its main performer David Blair is also the producer and director. One of the co-stars is none other than William S. Burroughs. Wax is an experimental picture, full of old school computer animation and the first film ever to be uploaded on the Internet, re-formatted as hypertext. There were moments when I asked myself why I'm watching this but I enjoyed it. Besides, I spend a lot of time on an obscure porn forum. Full movie |

Brotherhood ( 2004 )
you only ever watch ONE South Korean War Film , make it this one !
Brotherhood is a superb war Film, far superior to the Hollywood movies it aims to emulate - it has a 80% Fresh Rating on Rotten Tomatoes Brotherhood ( 2004 ) Movie covers the first year of the Korean War, and is a surprisingly accurate presentation of the chaos of the invasion, the desperate struggle for survival at Pusan, the stunning victory at Inchon, and the shock of the Chinese intervention. Since the majority of English-language books were written by Americans, they naturally focused on the American view of the war, and ignored the contribution made by the ROK army. Brotherhood (Tae Guk Gi) understandably intends to remedy the situation, and succeeds ! The movie is about Koreans, so Americans are always referred to but never shown, and the Chinese only appear in one scene. The first big-budget movie to look at the Korean War from South Korea’s perspective, Tae Guk Gi ( Brotherhood ) this is outstanding. |

Watched it,
As don't dislike Zach Galifianakis plus do like Kate Mckinnon and Kristen Wiig. Only at most at best this movie based on a true life inside job bank robbery , supplies a couple dozen or so smiles. No proper laughs and quite a few rolling eyed yawning cringe moments. What a pity given the cast. Who I`m sure would have delivered a far funnier film if the script had been shredded and they`d been allowed to make it up as they went along.

Meantime (1983)
with Phil (Quadrophenia) Daniels, and young versions of Tim Roth, Gary Oldman
and Alfred Molina. a pretty grim and depressing storyline. Daniels and Roth are brothers living with their working class parents (one working parent) in London's East End. it took me awhile to get into the movie, but it's well worth the patience. just saw this last night and loved it! plus, I really like ginger cats. |

Blue Thunder (1983)
Trailer Frank Murphy (Roy Scheider) is a Los Angeles Police Department helicopter pilot and Vietnam veteran with post traumatic stress disorder. Murphy and his new partner, Richard Lymangood (Daniel Stern), are chosen to fly an experimental and highly advanced helicopter, the Blue Thunder. Its purpose is to counter street insurgencies during the forthcoming Olympic games. Right before they were assigned to their new mission, the city councilwoman Diane McNeely is murdered during an alleged rape and robbery. But it seems like she was murdered for knowing more about the true nature of the Blue Thunder project. Frank Murphy arrives at similar conclusions which, of course, gets him into trouble with some military men and an old nemesis from his time in Vietnam, former United States Army Colonel F.E. Cochrane (Malcolm McDowell). |
