Every night I go to bed thinking he has reached an all-time low and I wake up to find he has gone lower...and while Kathy Griffin's actions were tasteless and crude does anyone remember Ted Nugent? He backed Trump in 2016 and was invited to the White House to dine with Trump in April. Ted threatened to kill then-Democratic presidential candidates Obama and Clinton while holding two machine guns in a 2007 onstage appearance.

"Obama, he's a piece of s---. I told him to suck on my machine gun. Hey Hillary," Nugent said. "You might want to ride one of these into the sunset, you worthless b----."

And again, in 2012, Nugent recommended decapitating Democrats, saying, "We need to ride onto that battlefield and chop their heads off in November," while speaking at the NRA convention in April. In that speech, he made another controversial remark that suggested violence toward Obama: "If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year."

Sadly he is not dead or in jail - he gets invited to the White House by Trump so that he, Kid Rock and Sarah Palin can mock Hillary's First Lady portrait.

Do you really think countries such as China, India and Russia are going to live up to these accords?
So good to know the US has joined that list of luminary states.

I think China will because the pollution is so bad it is killing about 75,000 people a year there and because the countries and states on the cutting edge of alternative energy development are seeing their GDPs outperform the laggards. India has already said that they plan on burning more coal as their country gets more screwed up by the minute. New Delhi's air is nearly as deadly as Beijing's. Russia will fall in line if Putin and his buddies can make a buck in doing so.

There is no source. It's just something he heard on the playground and repeats it because he wants to believe it.

I haven't fact checked this ever but, here's something that I heard on my playground: Fox news won a court ruling saying that they didn't have to be held accountable for the non-factual spew they put forth because they are an Op-ed. Yet, they still call themselves a "news" organization. They can say anything they want and don't have to be held to account.
Fox news has done an excellent job of brainwashing the right. And now we pay the price because a grifter reality tv star has snuck into the White House. If only it really was "America First", and not party first.
It's a pity, because from where I sit the only plank in the GOP platform that matters is tax breaks for corporations and the 1%. So pretty much all of the right wing voters have been duped and have gift wrapped the wealth of the US for the 1%.
When I grew up the upper tax rate was 70%, and I might have seen 3 homeless people in 20 years. Then came Reagan who cut that rate in half. Now, where I live, in Seattle there's hundreds of people living under freeway overpasses. These two things are connected, methinks.

So, rodak, I don't really care about your sources. But I'd love your opinion on this question: What is better for the economy, One Billionaire or 1000 millionaires?

This columnist seems to think very poorly of Trump.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...=.84108ee876d6

The "Dimmest President Ever" is pretty strong stuff.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...=.0ee68073209a

"Fish Rots from the Head" is used to discuss the ethically challenged Trump Administration.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...=.3214d9d73e60

And here she pounds him for ill-advised tweets after the London Bridge terror attacks.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...=.828e0a579df1

And here she accuses GOP leaders of being out of touch with American industry and their voters of being "oblivious to the world outside their ideological bubble." She goes on to say, "Rather than level with voters, their GOP representatives cater to their ignorance and mislead them about the state of science and of our economy. The more out of touch these voters become, the more they come to resent and distrust people who tell them facts contrary to their isolated world view. (Don’t call us ignorant!) They elect people equally clueless, or willing to feign cluelessness. " Tell us what you really think. Jennifer.

And here is another commentator accusing Trump of bungling the war on terror.

http://www.politico.com/magazine/sto...=nl_todayworld

And here we have Associated Press financial reporters discussing inconsistencies in Trump's infrastructure program as the economy is showing signs of a major slowdown.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/trump...075729208.html

I still don't understand how the GOP plans to boost an economy that runs on consumer spending while continuing to reduce wages to the middle and working classes. In addition, major cuts are being proposed to programs for the disabled and indigent who must spend their entire income on survival expenses.

Downing Street says there has been "no change" to plans for a UK state visit by US President Donald Trump, amid reports the trip could be delayed.

It comes after the Guardian reported Mr Trump called Prime Minister Theresa May to say he did not want to visit until he had support from the British public.

He was invited for the state visit by the Queen later in the year.

Details:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-40241220

So if I got this correctly, Trump won't go to the UK on a state visit because of the possibility of protests from us Brits? What the expletive deleted did he expect after criticising the London Mayor (Sadiq Khan) directly after the London Bridge terrorist attack in which eight people died?
