Someone told me it was "Last Tango In Paris" and someone else said it was "The Sailor Who Fell With Grace From The Sea". Another friend told me it was "Don't Look Now" with Julie Christie.

So, do you guys know?

In the Realm of the Senses (1976) looks like the first *drama* that features real sex between actors.

There are hardcore inserts (close-ups of uh... stunt doubles) in earlier movies, such as Thriller -- A Cruel Picture ('73) and La bestia uccide a sangue freddo ('71).

Try using the search engine by entering the names of the movies.

All I know is beginning around 1973 mainstream actors and actresses have been depicting themselves as having sex in the nude in films.

It is starting to look like actress Julie Christie did the first nude sex scene with Donald Sutherland in Don't Look Now 1973.

I am not sure but I think Robert Culp was in such a movie around that year.

I cannot find the film, but it had him naked copulating with a woman and I saw a cap in Playboy magazine.

I'm very grateful that these actresses who will never pose nude for a magazine like Playboy will strip naked and run around and hop in bed and make it look like they are having sex.

Who? Actresses like Kathleen Quinlan and Laura Linney and Julie Christie.

The list of actresses continues... The latest women to make the leap into the cinema bed are Marisa Tomei and Jessica Alba.

You can buy them naked on DVD but not in Playboy.

The earliest mainstream movie I can find with NSS is "I Am Curious Yellow" filmed way back in 1967!

Last Tango seems to be the first one with a major actor like Brando.

Don't Look Now is probably second.
