Why do you like vintage?

I'll tell you something : when I watch anything on tv or in the movies pre-1990's, I know, in my heart of hearts, that at least 95% of the women I see on screen are sporting a full bush underneath, and that gets me going.

Today, when I see a women on tv or in the movies, post 1990's, and especially now, in modern times, it's a 95% chance they are either clean shaven or sporting some kind of weird concoction resembling a landing strip, with the least amount of hair possible there. And that depresses me.

Of course, there are exceptions to the rule, with every %.

So why do I love vintage ? The bushes (and I don't mean the former presidential family) !

Think back to yonder days (just some random names) :

Lynda Carter, Suzanne Somers, Yvonne Craig, Adrienne Barbeau, Nicola Bryant, Linda Blair, Marilyn Monroe, Bette Davis, Anita Ekberg, Dawn Wells, Thelma Todd, Judy Landers, Laura Antonelli, Louise Brooks, et al. I could name thousands more..........................

Think they walked around bare-bushed ? I think not ! And some of these ladies we have seen FF, so we know they didn't ! LOL

But today. Feh. Fooey. You can have that old time religion, I want those old time bushes !

I think for me it's just a nostalgia thing and how much it made my heart race when I was a teen watching it.

In the 2008 feature "The Reader", they had to put a fake bush on Kate Winslet. I would´ve thought that she could - at least temporarily - have grown one if her part required it. That´s how far we´ve come. Sad. Very sad.

That is actually very sad. Whatever happened to 'method acting' ?

But, I'm sure it looked better than the prosthetic weiners they wore in 'The Greasy Strangler' ! LOL
