I genuinely like women, not just in a sexual context, and often actually prefer the company of woman to men for the most part (men can be stunningly boring - all sports, cars, work, no real engagement with day to day life), and have always preferred to work in places where there are more women than men. I am endlessly baffled by the number of VEF posters who seem to have got into relationships or marriages on the basis of sex alone, and then found they have nothing in common with their partners. To me friendship and importantly common interests and atitudes are more important than the extremely transient pleasures of 'great sex' (I've had those relationships too, and there's little more chilling than the silence afterwards).

It is not misogyny; it is experience of the disparity in definitions between the genders. After a days graft a bloke comes home shuts the door and thinks Fuck The World Till Tomorrow. A bit of grub, perhaps a beer then veg out, do what blokes do best, empty their minds.....

I think the big reason might be that women have two X chromosomes, which is a huge, huge advantage. If something goes wrong with one chromosome, it can be counteracted by the other (men are screwed in this regard). Women also have less iron stored due to all those years of menstruation, so it takes longer for heart-related issues to really hit. Also, it's stressed to women early on that being pretty is important, so they're probably more likely to practice good eating and exercising habits.

True, men, well some men don't give a shit how they look. But women do have pressure to look good. That said, the amount of fat kids these days is a disgrace. I've seen primary school kids who are obese. Their parents need a kick up the arse! An adult can choose, a child can't unless the parents don't care. That's my rant of the day!
